Do you look at conversion on your programs??
Just curious if affiliates look at the individual conversion on the programs they work with? I always promote conversion to affiliates when it is good. Does a 15%+ conversion mean anything to you?

Absolutely look at those numbers, and 15%+ generally looks good, but it does depend on the niche and pricing.

I'll definitely look at the conversion rate when joining a program. I also pay high attention on the reversal rate. Those numbers generally tell you if a program is healthy or not. Agree, niche should be taken into consideration while looking at those numbers...

Also, look at who their affiliates are - if there are a bunch of big coupon sites, I will tend to take their conversion rate with a grain of salt...

I always look at MY OWN conversion ratio with a program, compared to the conversion ratio I see from comparable programs. If I have one program converting at 2% when others in the industry convert at 5-10%, I know there's something wrong with the merchant. Either it's not tracking right, or their check-out process is confusing, or they have incorrect information in their datafeed, or they're skimming, or something. But regardless, they won't last long on my site if they don't find and fix the problem.

Another big plus for SAS that all that is provided. I think they're the only network that shows that last commissionable sale info which in invaluable, and some networks, (cough, cough, cj, cough) have dropped the reversal rate info.
