I am using goZing right now and I am not happy with the results. I like that the people get instant approval, but it appears to me that there are a lot of gaps in their coverage. This leads me to believe that service is simply not available for a lot of people I send to them. What I do not like about cellularphones.com is that the visitor has to actually fill out the app before they can even see the coverage. Of the two which is better, or is there something better out there?

yall are gonna be EXTREMELY unhappy about this.
gozing is a TOTAL scam.
i did their instant credit thing (not having bad credit) andthey immediately turned me down.
GUESS WHAT!
Here is the email they immediately sent me...

Dear lauren:

Worldcom Wireless. As you may already know, due to Worldcom Wireless'
strict credit requirements, your application was not approved for service
on their network.

BUT WE STILL MAY BE ABLE TO SERVE YOU!!

needless to say, as a DIRECT affiliate of theirs i was supposed to get 40 bucks for the sale. i signed up for thier scam (they also offered a 50 buck rebate).
i paid the 149 for the phone expecting NO deposit, to get my 40 buck credit and so on.
Well i got slaughtered. The rebate didnt apply to me, there was a 125.00 deposit, there was an additional 34.99 activation fee, I got NO affiliate credit. I called their aff mgr and he said they only pay the 40 bucks for the worldcomm (free) offer.
talk about bait and switch! how scandalous!
i urged him to mention this on his site and he refused. I also strongly urged them to update the gozing site regarding all the sprint requirements and at least they did that.
GOZING IS A SCAM! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Thank you for your post, knucklehead. That is absolutely abhorrent what GoZing is doing. That has to border on being illegal and is at the very least totally misleading to affiliates and consumers alike. I will never use any of their links again.

sorry, am i allowed to say that!

ya, i figured, ok, ill pay the 149.99 BUT
ill get my 40.00 affiliate credit
and my 50.00 rebate and all that free stuff and only "be stuck" for about 59 bucks, not bad for a phone with all that stuff and no deposit.
but now im in for 149.00
plus activation of 34.99
plus a deposit of 125.00
who is that dumb when you can get a FREE phone just about anywhere?
oh, and there is no 29.99 plan either.
AND although most providers ONLY require a 1 or 2 year contract IF you get a free phone, they require a minimum contract of 1 or 2 years OR you have to pay a monthly service fee of 10.00

SCUM

I just don't understand why these affilaite programs scam traffic generators.

It doesn't take much time to figure out that you have been HAD and to turn that traffic OFF.

They can't be making that much $ on the scam compared to what they would make if the paid the webmaster.

Well cellularphones.com has been converting pretty well for me, I'm making between 18 and 25 cents per click, depending on when the last phone was sold etc. I average one a month atleast, so it has definately been worth it too me. You are more than welcome to visit my site and sign up through me, hehe, they track referrals and I think it's about 1.80 or so per phone your referrals sale.

WTF?
OK, I HAVE been getting sales through GoZing.com via CJ.com.
Not as much as I would like... but still maybe 1 sale per 20 apps.
Maybe it is better when you use them through cj.com?

My CJ stats for GoZing:
gozing.com $246.00 FROM 1,089 HITS
$22.59 EPC
So I make 22.5 cents/click from Gozing

>but still maybe 1 sale per 20 apps.

A 5% approval rate is half of the industry average of 10%

You may be attracting underage visitors
Fraudsters
Credit challenged traffic.
Or they are ripping you off.
May be all the above.

It really dosen't matter which is better. They either will reverse 90% of the sales or you just never get paid.

My take is that 99.44% of the cell phone slime are in it just for the branding.

Every supermarket in Vegas has a cell phone sales booth. The onky use of the online sites is to let you findout what the newest deals are. Find the deal online and go buy it at your supermarket works for 99% of all
people who buy cell phones here.

Frederick:

I'm aware of your fellings about cell phone folks but for the record we sell over 10 a day after an 87% TD rate.

Sure they might be able to get a better deal down the street but they fill out the application and send it in.

The case for finding a better deal in a brick & mortar location can be made in many industries. People do BUY on the WWW.

ummm, the point here is that they LIE ontheir site and say you get paid for EVERY phone you sell/giveaway. sorry you guys missed that

btw, i dont care about affiliateprogramsthatsuck, i sold most of my sites a couple months back.

im peeved at gozing for
1. lying to affiliates
2. misleading customers

Sad, but it is just the cost of doing business in the affiliate game.

How much will they loose from your post above. More than they screwed you out of.

Selling them online is not hard - actually getting paid for the sales is the problem.

It simply becomes a waste of time to deal with it.

I cant get into specifics but another program ended up removing the Go Zing phone program because apparently they (GZ) even admitted they couldnt properly track sales. They rep[laced it with GO Zing surveys at 0.50 lead per survey filled out. Unfortunately the pjhone links were vere obvious and everywhere and it appeared instead of the $40.00 payout for a phone they wanted us to take a 0.50 lead while they could brand and further upsell while the form was being completed. I have them promoted on a specific free cell page and their conversions are at 0 while I have seen a few other different merchants convert. I am giving them a short time to convert or they are gone. Funny thing is with other program they say they couldnt track I had sales yet with the CJ program I have had none. Something seems a bit odd to me on this one.

Hi Everyone, You may want to try InPhonic Wireless, I sell alot of phones thru them directly and it seems to be working. Also I came across a Prepaid-Cellularphone program, seems to be ok on the surface, I'll keep you posted..

This Post is cool! By the way,
I'm new here...

Thanks,
Kevin

I tried CellularPhones.Com, I had some sales then they seemed to go into a pending status then tapered off with nothing but excuses from CellularPhones.Com.. I got rid of them fast..I learned you just have to be careful and know how the affiliate program works, it will take time for them to screen the potential customer and then decide as to whether they will award the sale.

Keven,

Same here with CellularPhones.Com. Verizon at Performics doesn't do too bad for me although they did a reversal or something this month which was a first. Also Letstalk was doing pretty good for the little bit of traffic I get but the last couple of months they have dropped off quite a bit but worth a try for anyone. JMO of course I'll have to check out Inphonic.

As for GoZing, thye say no reversals but yet I got a couple. They even sent an email stating they have no reversals. Yanked their A$$ pretty fast.
