Has any one had any dealings with this company? My Affiliate Program - Kowabunga tech. I'd like to know if other Merchants have moved all or some of their affiliates to an outside independant company like this? Are there any affiliate comments from those of you that currently work with them?

They sound pretty good, but there is always sales talk.

I'd love to hear your comments
    Catherine

    Hi CatherineG,
as an affiliate, I work with a few merchants who use MYAP and I'm very happy with it.

There are some limitations but I'm happy to forego them rather then see the merchant go to some of the other smaller companies.

    Thanks Mousejockey,
What kind of limitations have you dealt with? We are looking for a company that can give us services above and beyond what Cj offers. We're trying to keep up with the requests that our affiliates make.

Limitations only on the affiliate side, I don't know about the merchant side of things.

As far as the difference between MYAP and CJ, well, CJ has all the bells and whistles for affiliates and merchants, and I'm pretty sure would cost a whole lot more for a merchant to run.
I'm pretty sure the merchants I work with are happy with the service they get from MYAP because they've been with them awhile.

As an affiliate using MYAP the only limitations I've found have been: You can't see day to day tracking, it would be nice but after being with these merchants for years now, I don't mind.

Individual product linking with one of my merchants means I need to serve the images myself, but in a way it's a very good thing.
I don't have to worry about broken images.
As long as my site is up I know the images are and I can link to any page quite simply.

I really haven't found any problems in...think it's nearly three years now.
Hope this is of help Catherine, I'm sorry I can't give you any information on the merchant side of things.

I love MYAP merchants, some nice indys there. I do wish they would fix their affiliatecash site like they said they would a few times but never have, still broken links everywhere. If they ever get around too it, it's a nice list of merchants using the MYAP software.

The new affiliatecash.com is coming soon. Sometimes projects take longer than expected. We want it right, and useful, or why bother updating it?

The only problem i have with it are listing non-existant merchants and affiliate programs. This shouldn't take more than 1 day to fix. Just click through the links and the links that go to non existant pages, just delete them. I think you're doing a whole new design, maybe adding some features? But this is something that could have been done in the meantimes months and months ago so at least it's usable before the new site is done. But hopefully soon because i do like a lot of the merchants that use the MYAP software, i'm just looking for more to add to my site.

I agree with Trust, I've been emailing them asking them to update that list for a while... The current affiliatecash site is basically worthless and should just go away until they fix it. So many dead links and repeated programs. We do pretty well with the merchants we have signed up for using MYAP, I wish I could sign up for more, but I guess we'll just keep waiting on the site redesign.

    My issues with Kowabunga.

I have less than a handful of mechants using them. Yet everyone has a different login, different interface, differnet set of stats, different linking method.

While I understand they mainly are an ASP for mechants not wanting to run their own in-house affiliate program, they need to step up to the plate and offer some benefits for affiliates.

As of right now, they have the worst interface, stats and linking method for affiliates. So I am guessing some are on some version, others don't want to upgrade etc, screw that. Step up and start standarizing some stuff and just make it part of the cost of running a business.

And lastly, seeing someone using the kowabunga technology always makes me hesitant for one simple reason, you want to complain about CJ and their merchants? They don't even come close to some of the dredges of society that use Kowabunga.

Their hesitation to take this step - to be more than an ASP - but be a network, even a loose network (similar to early befree) makes me tend to not choose Kowabunga powered merchants. I do not see them as a trusted third party partner or a resource for affiliate, but nothing more than a software house that lets everyone run nilly-willy all over with their software. Which if that is what they want to be - mission accomplished, but I have to think if they took that next step, and cleaned house, they could be something much more.

    Catherine G,

I only have 1 out of my 13 programs on MyAP right now - Everyticket.com. They are happy with it. I have used alot of systems and the new one from MyAp is decent. (I have limited interaction with it on the merchant side in that I only check stats) The old version was a nightmare to work with but the new one is OK from what I have seen.

It would be nice to have 1 place to login and check your stats for all the MYAP merchants you use, there is, but i don't like the people behind it and the merchants have to be using the newest version, i think. I never looked at it as Kowabunga or a network, i just looked at the merchants as indys using they MYAP software to run thier own program. And the ones i've used work fine and pay on time.

    To ABW...from the KB family.

The KowaBunga! staff listens! They heard your complaints on the current AffiliateCash site and they've taken the site down until the new site can be put up ( a little birdie tells me that should be within the next week ). Visit the site to sign up for the launch notification.

We are working day and night to make improvements on all of our products and services (you may have noticed the new myap.com site this fall).

Most importantly, you need to know that you have been heard. We take feedback seriously, from affiliates and merchants alike.

Remember, specific questions can be answered at anytime by emailing support@kowabunga.com or sales@kowabunga.com. Or just call us anytime.

    Have a wonderful holiday season!
