I always receive some mail in my CJ internal mailbox. Do advertiser need to pay CJ for sending us that kind of mail?

As far as I know - NO.

They pay for the mails outside of CJ.

The CJ Mail System sucks and they have it for a good reason. It's a pain to use it and advertisers pay the money to get their email send to publishers outside of the CJ Network to make sure that they READ it.

Hello! To clarify, merchants do not pay to send email through the CJ internal system. This means the mail goes through the merchant's internal CJ box to the publisher's internal CJ box. Merchants do, however, have to pay to send email from CJ's internal mass-mail service to the publisher's registered email account outside of CJ. With the new 6.0 system, publishers can see the contact email address for the merchant and can therefore contact them directly from their email account outside of CJ.

I know I really appreciate it when a publisher checks his/her mail through the CJ system...sometimes important messages can sit there for days without being checked!

Additionally, I've just read that publishers can also designate a direct email. Merchant accounts had this default to a certain address, but publishers have to log in and designate a direct address and make it public to merchants.

If you know you don't check your CJ mail often and you want to allow your merchants to contact you at your regular email address, please make sure you log into your CJ account and designate and make public your contact email. It really is invaluable for merchants to contact you about problems, questions, link issues and order issues.
