Haiko, any chance of opening a forum where we can discuss affiliate link cloaking/protection. There are so many threads around discussing this topic, somethings it hard to find them.

That sounds like a great idea. It would be nice to get some good advice in this area.

    I agree...

I personally use tracking software to cloke some affiliate links...

    IE: greatproducxts.cm?afiliaite=fatcat

    becomes

    myproducts.com/go/greatproducts

I only us this when there is a possilbility of my link being hi-jaked such as with clickbank links

Thanks Haiko. Has anybody used the following script,

    http://www.photoshoptools.com/plinks/

I'm looking into it now, I'd like to know if it bypasses Norton and the other ad blockers.

That program isn't cloaking the links, so it won't help with Norton et al.

Are you sure, I've been playing around with it and it seems like a good script. From what I see, Norton can see any qrsrv.net links on the page I created. As far as I see the CJ links don't show at all and the cookies are being set.

The demo site I saw had plain text links with aff codes showing, so those would be blocked by Norton and other ad blocking software. I did not download and work with it, I don't have a need for yet another script So if there is a cloaking setting, then great Is there data import? Is the database customizable? Is it template driven?

Those are the questions I would be looking to answer for any software I would look at.

    Hi,
If anyone wants to use a free link cloaking system then I'm happy to offer my own system. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting the URL of my site. I'm not an affiliate of this, I own the site.

You can create links that cloak your usual affiliate links within seconds and these links can be set to expire if you wish. You can also keep track of how many hits these links have gotten too.

Anyway, anyone wanting to use the system can do so for free at
