A merchant site has the following on the product pages.

"Our prices are so low that we can not publish them here on our store as we can't risk alienating our suppliers. Call us Toll Free"

"We GUARANTEE the LOWEST PRICE for this product Call our Toll Free # ... or send an email to our President giving him an opportunity to beat the best deal by $10."

I have to assume it is a CJ merchant . . . is there any link available without that trash on it? If they are all like that, they are useless.

Is that a joke? It sounds like a great opening line, like "A nun walks into a bar..."

It is a CJ merchant alright.

The messages appear above and below the "Buy here" button in the product pages.

Also, try their Riccar page and check out where the product links go to. They all go to Riccar.com.
Do we get commissions from those too?

I hope comments like that don't mean you actually are spending bandwidth promoting these guys. I counted the 1-800-# a total of 7 times on one page.

    Maybe, if you're talking pennies.

But not if we're talking about hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars in commissions going down the drain.

Nope, I don't promote those guys.

Encouraging people to call is one thing. But requiring them to call to get the bottom price is a clear message that they don't want to pay their affiliates.

I did 2 test with the same product links, landing on this merchant versus other 2 , and I found this merchant converting 3 times less...

Once they put a special call us now to check stock because of great demand, on a product I was promoting very very hard, So I decided to test with others and found the mentioned stat..
