Just received this...mmmmm
"In order to ensure the tracking of all transactions, Performics will be
turning off the build-your-own-links function for all xxxxxx
affiliates as of 5 p.m. CST Dec. 21, 2001."

So does this mean the tracking wasn't working...
and I love the create a links feature sob sob

Hmmm Mouse Jockey. I just started really using them this month. I put them in good spots with good merchants and only had one sale.

MJ--"all xxxxxxx affiliates"

I presume that means one merchant's program in particular, and not all of Performics?

Packy--I've got 3 merchants on there. Two of them are seasonal, though, and this isn't the season...One of them has approximately zero gift value, too. I'm a bit surprised at the other one (one sale) since their CJ competition did fairly well this season. But I picked specific products at Performics and maybe people just don't think of giving those products! (I'm pretty sure nothing's wrong with the tracking on that one--the same manager has a program at CJ that I do well with.)

Merchant #3 is has had 9 sales so far this month. I wish I had promoted more of their stuff!!! It was easy to pass the min. with that one. Now I can wait the reported 3 months to see if they pass the Gold Standard (actual payment!). The CR on #3 is in line with CJ programs.

Performics seems to be worth looking into if they have CyberMall product merchants and not just subscription deals. 3 Months on performing merchants to first check cashed is actually better than LS or BeFree new merchants payouts. Are most of their merchants setup on 25.00 minimums??

Performics sends a consolidated check, even though that's not what it seems to say in their terms of service. Payment is slow , but it does come, eventually. I have a few grumbles with their system, but they do some things right too, and overall I'd say they're worth testing as part of anyone's mix.

I only the added the performics creatives at the beginning of the month, then I spat the dummy out when I still hadn't received a reply to my emails! (Childish, I know, but I even sent them a Merry Christmas to lure them into a talking mood...didn't work, "bot's" don't have Christmas)

So I started taking links down, while doing this I had 9 very nice sales...so I started putting them back up again, then I received the email about no more creatives with this particular merchant for tracking reasons, and that you can have creatives if you contact perfomics and tell you which ones you would like made up...ummm, right, the products would be antiques by the time I heard/received the creatives from them!

I need creatives, my customers like creatives as shown by sales (need tracking too) sadly there is no-one to replace them
offering the same quality of product.

Elisabeth, are there "real people" at performics or are they just "bots"

I believe Elisabeth when she says "you do get paid" but I have to say their customer/affiliate service sucks!
At least with LS they answer your emails, then if they don't know the answer, they just ignore the question!
Not satisfying but at least you know you are dealing with a "real" person.

Agh! people, this is just one giant frustrated rave about how close I came to nirvana and then someone/thing pulled the rug!!!

December with Performics merchants was fantastic for me, much better than CJ!

I've always gotten a prompt response to emails that I've sent too - usually within 24 hours.

I just got my first check too and was extremely surprised that since I made the minimum requirement for 1 merchant, I was paid for all merchants for July, August & September time period (I had only met the required amount for 1 merchant). My understanding was I would only get paid from those merchants once I met the minimum payment amount.

Would be nice if payments came quicker after a month ends but hey, as long as I get paid in the end that is what really counts.

There's nobody home at Performics affiliate support, not even bots, I don't think. That's one of my prime grumbles! I put up with it because some of their merchants perform well for me, including the one whose email triggered this thread. A commission check in hand soothes a lot of frustrations!
