    In case this helps someone: I applied for the Sears programs at Performics today, and was rejected with the standard (uninformative) letter. I replied to ask what the problem was, in case it was something I could fix.

    Imagine my surprise 1) to get a prompt response from Performics, and 2) to learn that I had been rejected for "linking to adult content"! Turns out the Sears folks took objection to a CJ merchant on my site, KingLove. Quite frankly I hadn't looked at KingLove for a while, and they were considerably "spicier" than I remember them being when I linked to them.

    Bye bye, KingLove ...

    {edited to fix a typo}

    I had the same thing happen (not Sears) when I did a link exchange with a Christian Parenting site. I checked their link and got redirected to a porn site.

    During our battle with Morpheus I placed some enticing pre-sell text above the anti-morpheus and parasiteware information and banners. That text lauded how surfers could steal and share music and porn files within the P2P networks if willingg to put up with some Ads. I fooled them with a "new window" link to one of those misspelled popular domains that launch an endless progression of slocky merchant banner windows and popunder reloads. Only way out of it was to trl+alt+del or hit my original page on the bottom bar.

    I had to pull it due to complaints. Those who complained got a nice e-mail with links to parasiteware and Morphbuster.
