    Typical performics merchant.

I can't find a link to their home page. The "primary" link goes to their "Passport to Paris" offer, which, frankly sux. I'd actually like to link to this offer, but I'd like to link to the home page as well.

The passport to paris offer page - Once landing on that page, I don't see ANY way to get back to the home page. The "HOME" link simple returns to the Passport to Paris page. How the hell can a customer buy something they want (and not something they don't..) if they can't get to the normal home page/product navigation pages?

There is currently a 50% off offer running (I've seen it) and there is a mention of it in the performics interface, yet, all of the DRM links land on the Passport to Paris page.

Combine all of this with the extreme/usual suckage of navigating performics interface and I have extreme frustration.

    Anyone have any better luck?

Thats the home page, the passport one. http://www.ccbparis.com goes to the france, germany, japan, us page, http://www.ccb-paris.com is the us page that has the beauty passport. It goes there even if you type the url directly into the browser.

Not true. I think you have a cookie from visiting the passport page, or something. But
when i enter http://www.ccb-paris.com/ directly I am redirected to http://www.ccb-paris.com/us/ which has a nice ladies face and working navigation, etc.
www.ccbparis.com is just a mirror of it as far as i can tell.

If i delete all cookies, etc, and visit either site fresh, I'm presented with the US, France, etc choice. Once I pick US, I'm always redirected back to US. (Unless I clear again).

    Thanks..

Did you receive an email from them today re: the new promo they're running?
They mentioned they would have new creatives uploaded for this promotion.

    CCB-Paris Offer Update - August 2002

    Dear CCB-Paris Affiliate,

This week we are bringing you a brand new offer to promote on your website.

The Passport to Paris Beauty Collection!
    [snip]
    Plus
Each order comes with a FREE gift
    [snip]

We have created a promotional homepage and banners that Performics will
update for you- but please check your site and update any promotional text
    to reflect this new offer.

Please note, due to technical circumstances, the average order amount will
not appear in Connect Commerce while the promotion is live. At the end of
the promotion Performics will update the system to reflect the order
amount. Each order will be worth $24.99 - as the promotion only allows you
to buy 1 set at a time.

This is the only offer that is live at this time - please remove any other
    links from your site.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me at
    xxxxx@ccbparis.com

    Have a beautiful day,

    Stephanie Ogozalek

Basically I read this as this is the only offer, read product, that you can promote. Say you want to sell some CCB-Paris cosmetics from your site? Tough. But you can promote this gimmick $24.99 free gift crap if you want. Extremely lame.

[edit. used html instead of ubb code.]

It doesn't even make any sense. Say someone clicks through and isn't (or is) interested in this set but wants to browse their other products, they can't. Say they later want to buy some mascara and they then go directly to ccb-paris.com through their browser, they STILL CAN'T ... that doesn't even make any sense from their POV.

I applied to join this merchant a few months ago, heard nothing, forgot about them, then out of the blue my site was accepted.

Just looking at their site, it's changed so much since the time I applied, and appears they only want to move the current promo...

Think I'll wait and see what they do, it's very strange
