    Mars Music Chapter 11

    Dear Mr ****

We value your contribution as a Mars Music affiliate and a member
of the Performics network. We want to make you aware of an
important situation. On September 27, 2002 Mars Music filed
Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In addition Mars Music has turned off the
site and the program will be discontinued immediately.

Unfortunately, due the Chapter 11 filing, neither Performics nor
Mars Music's affiliates will be able to collect fees for past-due
invoices. Mars Music was delinquent in its payment to Performics
    for the past three months.

Performics makes every effort to ensure prompt payment from
marketers and has processes in place to minimize bad debt. Mars
Music owes Performics and affiliates for recent activity but the
bankruptcy filing eliminates the debt. Unfortunately in the case of
a Chapter 11 filing Performics has no means collecting the
    obligation.

Mars Music has removed the web site indefinitely and all banners
and links should be removed immediately. This is an unfortunate
situation for all involved. Please be assured that Performics
makes every effort to collect fees on behalf of affiliates.

    Thank you for your support.

    Sincerely,

    Mars Music Affiliate Services Team
    Performics Inc.

Why would Perfomics allow them to continue if they were delinquent for 3? I say if you are a month behind, your program is deactivated and affiliates notified so they can take down links.

I got this as well - the worst part is I went to remove them and they weren't even there.

I KNOW they were on one of my pages at some point.

    Jeez - I'm losing it...

Don't feel bad. I'd had pages for them all mapped out in my head and was just about to get down to making some when I got the letter ... some sort of reverse ESP I think.

Could have been worse Jungleand; at least this we we know we haven't lost any money.
