Is it specified in the affiliate terms & conditions that one is to not bid on an advertiser's trademark in the search engine?

I have seen certain advertisers add an additional term & condition note, but I am asking if such a clause exists in the Performics affiliate agreement.

Obviously not or there would be no need for additional terms defining such.

Read the Performics agreement if in doubt.

Varies from merchant to merchant. Read each of your merchants agreement carefully - or contact Performics if in doubt.

Usually it appears on the Agreement & Terms page of the specific client. Most of the time it is in the form of a footnote on the page, not in the actual T's & c's: For example

"Additional: Please make sure to read the additional terms and conditions as they contain important information regarding the
Merchant XYZ affiliate program including: - Keyword Limitations - Offers & Promotions - Product Categories - Email Marketing"
