So Thompson Cigar left Perf at the end of the year and there seems to be no replacement within the network . . . Also, the equivalent over at CJ, Neptune Cigar, apparently felt there was no competition any more and suddenly dropped their action Referral Occurrences to -one- today. (but "direct your visitors to the Neptunecigar.com, and we will pay you for every sale they make!")

Anyone know of a good indy? I have an urge to build a product page.

Thank you! I'm going to go through the list and weigh them against Neptune's product link availability.

I'm getting hits from what seems to be a spider on a site that has been quiet up til now. (don't have raw logs to see) So gotta build!

I tried to sign up for three of them; two took it OK maybe, and one had a form crash before I could get an ack. The bottom one on the list doesn't show affiliate information.

Now what do I take to get rid of this urge to light up? It's been over 10 years; maybe it'll go away.

In order to remain competitive in the current economic environment, Thompson Cigar has decided they can no longer monitor and review sites that do not meet their targeted return on investment goals. You should have received an e-mail notification about this decision a few weeks ago.

This is what they told me.

I had the cigars on a cigarette site as a bi product - so I too am looking for a replacement program.

I guess Neptune Cigar (@CJ) is trying to cut costs by changing the number of occurrences to one.
I note they're a little touchy on key words; did they own any of these companies trademarks?

"Please, note that any publisher that use the following keywords or keywords derivated thereof will be removed immediately from our affiliate program and all sales transactions will be canceled: "JR Cigars, Holt's cigars, Thompson Cigars, Cigar International, Cuban cigars, mike cigars" Publishers who are using keyword optimization, doorway pages, should submit the list of keywords before starting."

and since when is cuban cigars a TM?

I goofed. Just went back and read the announcement. Thompson didn't bolt -- they just don't like me.

Oh, well, I've built a page that is mostly Neptune and I've picked up cigar.com direct and I'm still looking at the others I've run across.
