Cannot get into cusimano.com via various ISPs in Australia. Possibly DNS problem? Emails to David have bounced. Anyone have a suggestion?

    Russell,

Try again. It may be just an intermitent internet problem. Everything looks fine from my end. If you still can't get through, send me a Private Message through ABW.

    Yours truly,

Sorry, David, can't see any obvious way to post private reply. Have checked with three different ISPs and none are seeing any of your sites. Emails bounce. Got your lastest email re xml amazon.pl.

    Regards,

    Russell.

    brough,
Just out of curiosity, are you able to view the images at the top of this forum? I have been able to view Davids sites, both when you first reported this problem to him as well as tonight. You may also want to run a tracert and see where the hang-up is.

No, ccc.gif does not show up. Have tried traceroute - it stops at 157.130.213.30 .

Try www.anonymizer.com. I had a friend DownUnder who had the same problem with Cusimano.com and I suggested he try accessing with anonymizer. Bingo for him.

Many thanks, got through via anonymizer. Can't download the script, tho.

    Cheers,

    Hi David,
I got through to your site using the following url:
    http://anon.free.anonymizer.com/http...mazon/xml.html

Cannot download the v10 amazon script, however. Any chance of emailing it to me?

If you've replied to any of my previous emails, they've not got through.

    Regards,

    Russell

    P.S.:

If you think it's a DNS problem, you might try setting your browser to use a couple of "public access" DNS servers (rather than whatever your ISP decides to give you).

I was having problems reaching some sites from my local ISP earlier this week, and using these DNS servers fixed the problem immediately. On two different PCs.

For info and instructions, go here:

    http://support.open-rsc.org/

The site gives a choice of various DNS server URLs, and instructions on setting your browser to use them. It's a quick and easy thing to set, in Windows 95/98/2000/XP at least.

    Russell,

The reports of my disappearance from ABW have been greatly exagerated (paraphrasing Mark Twain).

I just sent amazon.pl XML v2.10.16 to you via my hotmail account. You should have received that email by now. (You can communicate with me via my hotmail account).

It looks like you are the only person so far who has reported problems accessing the www.cusimano.com web server. It must have something to do with your ISP or some router upstream from your ISP. I'm not sure why.

Many thanks, David. Got the script and other emails on that subject and will reply as per.

Yes, agree that problem appears to be somewhere upstream of my various ISPs in Australia, as I've had reports from the UK and the USA that they can get in to your sites.

Once again, many thanks, and also to those other kind bods who've put in their 2c.

    Russell.
