    David

I only recently found out that you can get multiple IDs at Amazon - perfect for tracking sales from different sites etc. So I got some allocated.

But I just realised - the associate ID is in the amazon.key file along with some encrypted stuff you generate. Does this mean I need to have you make key files for each ID, or is there a way to DIY (or DIM ?

I'm not sure if that file is a security device for you, or a way of accessing XML services with your token, or what? Guess that will have a bearing on who makes the files.

    Are you Crazy?

I create the amazon.key files and each is unique for a particular amazon.com associate ID (or amazon.com tracking ID). You have to submit an amazon.key key request for each amazon.com tracking ID that you want to use with amazon.pl XML. The amazon.com tracking ID's must be related to your amazon.com associate ID.

I found it somewhere else - the only difference with the info at the link above is that I didn't tell them any sites to "approve", just asked for 20 IDs for various (unidentified) sites.

Interestingly, they named them after my site now doing most amazon business - not the original site/ID, so I guess they did do at leats some digging before allocating them.

When I ask for new tracking IDs I always tell them what I'd like them called, and they call them what I ask. It makes it easier for me to remember what I'm using them for that way.
