RIght now I'm using AE within frames. I'm trying to devise a method to port AE as a PHPNuke module so that it can use the same headers and footers as the rest of the site.

using the virtual function and called the index.php file directly seems to work fine. Has anyone already ported it? Let me know so that I dont waste time trying to reinvent the wheel.

I don't know PHPNuke. You can include AE results in PHP by using PHP's virtual function, such as the following to show bestselling DVD's:

The "ssi" parameter is required and tells AE to format the results so that they can be included. PHP's virtual() function is equivalent to an SSI (Server Side Include) statement.
