Sorry for being at Pita... I did a quick search and couldn't find a definative answer... are blended searches fixed now? I'm still running an old version of AE and will upgrade if there is a fixed version

    TIA!!

Blended searches in Associate Engine (AE) were fixed. Use AE v4.01.01-beta.

If you're currently using AE v3.06.27 then just replace the ae.pl file. If you're using an older version, then upgrade to AE v3.06.27 first (so you get all the ancillary files) then upgrade to AE v4.01.01-beta.

    David,

I don't know if it's something I'm missing, but I don't see reference to it in your documentation.... I'm trying to load the new version into /mydom/cgi-bin/ae/amazon.pl and I don't get error's, it just re-directs right to amazon... I dont see this listed as an error on the install page. ( http://c3scripts.com/amazon/docs6.html#install )

What am I missing? I seem to do this way to often!

    Thanks

aaargh, I think it's the old "wrong key deal" again. I think the key I tried was a pre-ae one!

Is it possible to request all of my keys in one email so I have all of them, all compatible with the latest version? Then I'll delete every instance of .key across my entire PC and not run into this again!!

    1. AE install. Be sure to create the ae-2.ini file as indicated in step 8 of the installation instructions.

    2. Keys. Either fill in the Key Request form several times, or fill in the Support Request page.

ah, it might also have been the ae-2.ini I didn't realise that was a required file these days

I just sent you an email, but I can use the request key page if it's easier

    Thanks!

I haven't uploaded the new ae.pl yet, do I need new keys to run it?

Tj was upgrading from an old version of Associate Engine (prior to v3.06.27) and had old "amazon.key" files rather than "ae.key" files. If you rename amazon.key to ae.key, it should work with ae.pl -- I don't know why it did not work in Tj's case.

I went from v2.12.28 to v3.06.27 quite a while ago and I seemed to remember the key needed to be different somehow... perhaps I'm just confusable
