I need to be able to define the doctype (in AE) in my default template and I can't find a way to do it. I am currently trying to setup the demo version. I have read several posts as to how the doctype is not necessary any longer. In my case, I have xhtml compliant code (mostly )and the doctype is necessary for several classes I am using. I need to have the current doctype statement included before the <html....> line:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    Any ideas are appreciated.

To keep <!DOCTYPE>, edit ae.ini and set packhtml.doctype to no
