    I'm using ae v4.05.31 and the basic template.

    This is only happening on one website.

    When I click on "Books" or "Popular Music" and 3 other links the script goes to the Amazon website.

    Is this normal?

    My ae.ini set-up is essentially the same for each installation.

    Any thoughts?

    Merry Christmas.

    1) If AE does not receive any data from Amazon.com Web Services (AWS) when doing a browse search (e.g.: intermittent problem with internet connection, AWS, amazon.com, etc.), then AE redirects to that browse node at amazon.com (and includes your amazon.com associates ID) rather than showing no results.

    2) Not all of amazon.com's thousands of browse nodes are supported by AE (in particular, those that do not follow amazon.com's standard browse page format). The majority of browse nodes are supported by AE. If AE cannot recognize a particular browse node, then AE redirects to that browse node at amazon.com (and includes your amazon.com associates ID) rather than showing no results.

    FAQ: I click on an ae.pl link that has type=browse and when I end up at amazon.com, the web browser's Address box doesn't show my amazon.com associates ID. Why?

    Thanks David,

    I had reviewed that material.

    But the thing that has me puzzled is why is this happening on one installation and not another; and always for the same browse nodes, i.e. books, popular music, furniture & decor, tools & hardware and home audio & video;

    AND all the time. not just occasionally.

    Thanks David. Problem resolved.

    For the info of others it turns out that I had v4.01.01-beta of the script installed although I thought I had v4.05.31 installed.

    Although I had uploaded the newer version 4.05.31 I had not deleted the original file on my server before doing so and it obviously did not get replaced.

    Thanks David for working through this with me ... and it's Christmas and Boxing Day!!!

    As always you over-deliver on your support and I really appreciate it.
