I am looking for some advice for getting stated using a database for my affiliate links. Where do I start my reseach? Is there software to invest in? Can dreamweaver be used to create and run a database? I know there are many questions here, but I really do not know where to begin.

    Thanks!

You may want to try webmerge unless you really really want to program. It doesn’t sound like you do?

    Many questions, many answers.

Perhaps a starting point would be http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/
Find something similar to what you are looking for, and then figure out how it works.

There are many php/mysql (if you choose this route) tutorials out there along with prewritten scripts that you can learn from.

Yes you can use dreamweaver - have a look at community mx http://www.communitymx.com for some great articles and tips or you can learn quite a bit by going to the macromedia support site itself http://www.macromedia.com/support/dr...ding_apps.html

Good luck - I started with webmerge and that may be all you need and is a great way to start using data feeds on your websites.
