i have been trying to get this linking script to work.
it's a cgi that writes shtml pages of your link partners.
first problem was it would not execute in the folder . so i added a .htaccess file (Options +ExecCGI) in the folder that the script is located.
Now it still does not work. in my error log it states:
Premature end of script headers: /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/resources/linkspage.cgi
the script is from linking101.
any help with this would be great. Is the error the script or a problem on my server? and what could be a solution to thisdave

It's hard to say, but it probably does mean that the script isn't outputting a proper header (to tell the browser what to expect next.
Before the script send any output, there should be a line like:
print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
Or, if it's a more modern "modular" script, it might have lines near the top like:
my $cgi = new CGI;
... and then a line before any other output like:
Check for errors in those lines if they exist, or add them if they don't.
