    Hello,

    I was wondering how you would write a script that would login into a website by filling out the forms for the password and name. Then download a report and save it locally.

    You figure out the form schema (so, view source) and pass the required data in the requisite 'method' to the 'action' script.

    your script may require a bit of crawling feature.
    If you're interested in PHP script, try Snoopy.

    For downloading websites, HTTrack is a good software.
