It's on the inside that counts.

They have an Outpost.com logo on the new front page.

Outpost stopped tracking in December or January and didn't bother to tell anyone. Eventually Linkshare noticed (weeks later) and told affiliates.

I guess that is one way LS is similar to CJ - neither one can detect who turned off tracking.

The new look didn't fix the problems I have:

I can only get a report to run about half the time at linkshare. Most reports just stutter and die.

I can never find anything in their search engine. It is an exact word match and they don't add any keywords to the advertisers to help.

I rarely see my sales in the same month they happen. I always need to check the previous month to see my sales, they post to the day they were sold, but they do not update it until many days or weeks later.

Yeah, the new face looks great ... now I don't even have to try reading that boring text (while waiting for the next page to load) with my aging eyeglasses and 1280x1024 monitor. Please LS, go even smaller with the text .... please LS, make it disappear altogether.

Thanks JadaKiss, I will let our dewsigner know you like the look. The old one needed an update.

Ahhh Rik,

How right you are, that is why I am sure that everyone is logging in to LinkShare and noticing all the new features we keep launching. As for me I am really excited to see what other new features we launch this quarter. Perhaps there will be some more improvements coming out shortly.

Not to toot our horn (which frankly is hard for me to resist), but I think we are the only provider in the last 9 months who have continued to feverishly enhance the service with new tools and functions and continues to invest more in this channel.

Well, had to get that off my chest.

Best regards,
Stephen

Steve, By far your most useless feature that you have at Linkshare is you program search engine. Can you please fix it so it will actually give us some results or else take it off your site. I should be able to type in keywords and have some merchants show up. I probably get results in maybe 1 in 10 searches. This is something I know that every single one of your affiliates will agree with 100%. Thanks

PS, ummm on a private note. Shhhh, can you get me in with Silhouettes and JCPenny's. <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon12.gif>

hmmmm....did not realize there was an issue with the search. Let me see what I can find out.

As for connections, while I wish I was the man who knew everyone (thats actually Heidi who knows all our merchants), I am probably not the best person to help you out. If you send me a private email I can forward it on the our service folk who deal with those accounts, they are always looking to add more relationships.

Hi, I just tested it out and it looks like it worked fine for me. Can you give me a better example that highlights the problem.

Best regards,

Steve, first off if I type in games or free games nothing comes up even though you have merchants that are related to that. Iwon doesn't come up, prizegames doesn't come up even if I type thier name in. A lot of merchants don't come up. The object of a useful search engine is to be able to type in almost any keyword or phrase and get results.

Do the merchants or does Linkshare add the keywords. If it is the merchants then I would drop an email to them and advise them to add a bunch of relevent keywords so we can find them.

If I type in Plus sizes I get nothing although you have plus size merchants. It seems the only way to get results is to type in the bigger merchants names and they better be spelled exactly. I know if I was a merchant with your company and I sold a certain catagory of products or services I wouldn't be very happy if a potential affiliate couldn't find my site listing.

Usually what I have to do is go to All Catagories and go through each merchant that shows up there. It's a big pain in the ass and it's something I don't do too often.

If I type in dresses nothing comes up even though you have merchants that sell dresses. The way it seems to be set up now is to look for a particular merchant. That is of little help to us. We want to see which merchants you have that sell certain things. Your engine is the most affiliate and merchant unfriendly tool I think I have ever come accross. No offense. JMO

wow, Gameboy, you're more dedicated than I am -- I gave up on the thought of ever finding a merchant by keyword long ago. I'd be thrilled just to be able to find the merchant by searching on the merchant name.

Now I understand, thanks Gameboy. No our search engine does not currently use keywords (although that is not hard to add). We were all sitting around last night trying to understand what everyone was talking about. We thought that you were having trouble doing partial searches on a merchant’s name (which works just fine). I will talk to Product Dev about adding keywords. Sometimes the simple things slip by, sorry if it caused you all inconvenience.

Thanks for your feedback.

Lol MJ!

Steve, Thanks for checking it out. I have to agree with Cedric though. The merchants I mentioned also don't come up in the search.

BTW-that would be an awesome improvement if keywords were added. Like I said in the previous post. We might search for a certain merchant but most of the time I am searching for what kind of stuff the merchant has. Thanks again.
