Does anybody have experience with buy.com. I joined and put them up about a week ago and have been sending them just under 100 visitors per day with $0 in sales.

buy.com used to do okay, but no more. Since they have been near bankruptcy for about a year running, their prices just aren't as low as they used to be.

Occasionally they will have a special or one of the deal of the days will be worthwhile - but unlike Tiger Direct, you really have to check their deals, some of them aren't much of a deal.

You got the correct word above. Buy.com is on life support with most items priced at full list or average street price. They will go the way of The Outpost and really don't have the capital to waste on paying commissions. One year ago in March they changed their site look and basically learned how to unplug the sales reporting tag at will. Even some of their laid off management laughed over this at F**kedcompany.com. Check the Parasite merchant lists and see if they're on there. They sure don't dare post and recruit here and LS will notify you 2 months after they went bankrupt that their links no longer work.

They use to be such a stronger performer. I can recall making $1,000 to $2,000 every month with them. Now a good month with them is $30. I did read somewhere about two weeks ago they are doing better financially. As Chez Noir indicated, their specials are not very special anymore so it is a lot tougher to sell.

They never post on any affiliate board so let them die a .com death. Hopefully Overstock will pick the inventory for the best bargains and then sell off the URL for 5 million and start all over again when the next full priced retailer goes belly up.

I am doing great with the Overstock videos, but since it is more or less a one-time thing I can’t count on them as a consistent performer for my niche sites.
