Any one know what ridiculous rejection factors they have in place to reject my site before they even looked at it?

They don't even provide a follow up email, losers .

Cheers

Think of it this way -- you'll be spared having to deal with their products running OOS on a fairly regular basis.

Or maybe it was just the ones I chose (all jewelry, btw). Now they get a directory listing and no more.

Chris,

They may have thought you a competitor. I know the gentlemen who runs thier program and he is a stand up individual and runs a great program. This happens with us many times as well.

I may look at a site and get a certain impression, or for some reason the site isn't working at that exact moment, and I temp reject. But, what works great is, if upon receiving a reject email the affiliates drops me a short email asking the same question you do and giving me a little background on the site. Whenever I receive an email I usually get that affiliate into our program.

I recommend sending them an email asking them why. They will be able to give you the best answer.

Hi Jamie

No this was a straight auto reject. never saw my site, if they had there would have been no way to associate it to me

Icicle, The best way to find out the best way to run my partners is to make sure I know what everyone else is doing, learn from what they do well and what they do badly...like auto reject in under 5 seconds..

Cheers

Auto rejecting a competitor in under 5 seconds, doesnt seem like an incredibly bad idea. Wouldn't you do that if it were possible?

Hi Chris,

It sounds like you may not have been able to apply due to our affiliate application filter feature. Many merchants use an application filter to pre-screen affiliate applications based on certain criteria. I suggest you review the merchant's "Guidelines for Approval" on their offer description page. If you still have questions, I encourage you to contact the merchant directly for more information.

As a LinkShare merchant, you too have the ability to use this feature. Please contact your Account Manager for more information.

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah and Folks

Yep well aware of the Auto Filter, I just find that applying it as they have done is a tad on the overkill side, I use mine to block only two countries (with massive fraud records) other than all applications are manual.

That said Joe Rotella did drop me a mail and tell me to try again....and I got rejected again... looks like they have the Xeno Filter on.

Prudence, and TECHNOLOGY allows a merchant to preclude apps and hits ... it is a CYA! I really don't see it as a "problem" as many merchants and sites already block such via htaccess.
