I've tried logging into my Linkshare account a number of times over the past couple days and noticed I'm now getting a browser warning telling me it is not secure?? I'm a little leary of entering my account page as this has not happened before.

Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know if Linkshare now has a non-secure login?

The warning is probably referring to images, as a page can contain both secure and non secure items...and generally images are the items that cause the pop up.

Cheers

I've also been getting this message recently. Near as I can tell nothing has changed on the pages yet we are still given a warning. I don't think the images have anything to do with it.

I've also been getting the same security warning for the last couple of days. I was just about to post the same question, until I saw this post. Glad I'm not the only one getting the warning.

Hi All,

We recently enhanced the logins to be secure. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is a standard protocol to encrypt sensitive information before sending over the net. However, SSL slows down the delivery of web pages. As such, most sites use SSL only when the user is submitting sensitive information like passwords, SSN# etc. Certain pages within the LinkShare affiliate interface are secure, such as Update Profile, and the Payment Report. The pop-up that you are receiving simply indicates that our server has received your username and password securely and now we are redirecting you to the regular unencrypted affiliate home page. Please be assured that your login information is absolutely secure, and we are currently investigating options to prevent the pop-up interruption on your browsers during login.

Thanks,
Sarah

This is good to know Sarah, but does that mean there are still components of our accounts which are potentially accessible by others, such as individual account reports?

That would be good information to know.

Of course my problem is that I cannot get into my account for some reason. Did the whole retrieving of forgotten password, and even tried making a second account. Every time I log in, it logs me right back out. Is this a bug in the new system maybe?
