Just wondering if we can take the html out of the banner links to use as a text link. There are coupon banners but no text links for the coupons. Thanks

Merchants often choose to provide coupons as banner links because they can easily update the creative once the promotion has ended - this is not possible with text links where the text is coded on your website. LinkShare recommends that you do not alter the link code provided in your affiliate account as you may inadvertently make a change which impacts tracking. Additionally, some merchants may not credit coupon transactions if they are referred by unauthorized links.
In this situation, I would encourage you to contact Buy.com directly and ask if they can provide you with a text link for this coupon promotion.

I use the html from banner links as text links. Doing so actually has a big advantage on Linkshare. You can track results on individual banner links, while you can't track results on individual text links. (Just run a "Link Type" report, click on "Banners", then click on the size.)
