I called LS to report a check that never arrived and that was allegedly sent about 20 days ago. I was told that I couldn't ask for a reissue before six weeks of the date of the mailing of the check. I explained that I had received a few checks from LS that were mailed 12 days after the date of mailing of my lost check but the LS support person at the other end of the line wouldn't budge.

Not only I had to wait three months for my October check, now that it is mailed and never received I have to wait another six weeks to ASK for a reissue.

Six weeks is too long a waiting period. I suggest LS makes it 25 days!

LS really needs to get pro-active with their payment system.

Linkshare has had payment problems for a very, very long time.

A lot of "looking into" payment problems could be eliminated by putting quick and accurate affiliate payments much higher on the Priority list to begin with.

A Linkshare Consolidated payment system is L-o-n-g overdue.

Agreed! As much pro-Linkshare as I am.. the payments really stink.

If you have a check that is missing, contact Sarah. She was very helpful to me.

Linkshare charges merchants hefty fees to cut their affiliate commission checks. The value add of this convience charge seems to be out weighed by the sloppy way LS goes about making sure not one penny of their own money is exposed to the bank balance required to cash the checks. Linkshare wants to run a 100% risk free business and they hold merchant checks from the likes of WalMart -American Express -OverStock etc etc ... well past the bank clearing period to make triple sure they don't bounce. Exposing their check cutting service to the expense of a check protection bank fee like us normal folks pay is obviously considered a useless expense.

I'd hazzard a guess, beyond payroll, that Linkshares' own number of monthly bill checks are under 100. So those assigned there to cut checks have the easiest job within the organization. They just aren't willing to do it right and ontime.

Lack of leadership. Linkshare says they cannot do consolidated payments and direct deposit because of the merchants (even though LS suggested they were going to do this back in late 2001 early 2002).

The merchants meanwhile blame Linkshare for the check cutting problems.

The affiliates just get caught in the middle.
