I got an email through Linkshare email system from Office Depot yesterday. Asking me take off any coupons or promoytional links which are not obtained from Linkshare. I do not have and never had any link for Office Depot which is not obtained from LS. I had an expired promotion link (got from LS) and the linked page obviously said the promotion has expired. It is difficult to keep up when you are not notified about expired links.

I am wondering whether this email was only for me or it was sent to all Office Depot affiliates.

I got it too, i think they sent it out to all their affiliates.

If they have sent it to all affiliates then they should written it in a different way rathing than saying "It has come to our attention that your web site, has posted Office Depot coupons not authorized for use by Office Depot affiliates." I do not like to get beat up without any wrong doing.

Office Depot sure didn't send this out to their BHO parasite "incent" partners. They have Linkshare's special nightly "incent" feed of special coupons and sales powering eBates, Upromise and others.

    Charlie ...

If they won't adopt and feed a bird ..flip them one! BBQ some Gator and remember to flush WhenU..

(if they find any, I'll have to change my FTP passwords for sure, cause I sure didn't put em there).

So all those Office Depot coupons that go floating around are "unauthorized"? Like the $25 off $75, $15 off $50 and that sort of thing, those are only meant for the parasites?

Is the affiliate referral associated with the coupon itself? That seems to be the case when you look at this page:

    http://www.officedepot.com/offers/save.asp

There seems to be no way to add your own affiliate id to those URLs. I'd hate to think that the people spreading those codes around are supporting Gator and the like.
