I do this all the time and due to the popup wars might have to revise this as some Ad-blockers negate the new window link. Ad-blockers are a side effect of BHO's and intrusive advertising minds.

I heard that "_bank" makes all commissions go straight into your checking account, but it *could* just be a nasty rumor.

I can't use either since the target tag is deprecated and I'm converting my site to XHTML 1.0.

I wish that merchants would quit giving us links that won't validate and then telling us not to change them. I had over 500 errors on a shopping page last night that I had to fix by hand. All the errors were in affiliate links.

Don't know if anyone else has noticed a similar pattern but I stopped using _blank or _new and my LS sales shot up like a rocket!

MJ, please do elaborate on that.

Nothing else to elaborate Sam, since I've stopped using _blank or _new with some LS merchants, sales have tripled.

I was a 'new window' gal for years, until earlier this year when, to be honest, I just got lazy and thought I'd drop it.

I don't know why, but as soon as I did it, sales came rolling in and from merchants I was struggling to push.
It could be more people are using the anti pop-up software, but then one would think all merchants across the board would show similar results, but it only appears to work, for me at least, with LS.

Obviously, as soon as I've finished getting settled, I intend changing all LS links.
