    Funny thing is we have not been inactive for 6 months, we have not used any unauthorized coupons, we do not have adult content, and we did not breach contract! Linkshare should terminate Office Depot for removing there partners for no reason! Office depot needs to get there act together!

    We regret to inform you that Office Depot, Inc has temporarily removed
    you from our affiliate program for one of the following reasons:

    * Have been inactive for 6 months or more, or
    * Unauthorized use of our Office Depot coupons, or
    * Mature/Adult content/links, or
    * Breach of contract

    I got that one tonight. Of course Office Depot has never converted for me so I guess that I am inactive.

    Jason, where do you have Office Depot links at? I don't see them.

    A number of people, such as myself, were removed. All I had to do was email their affiliate manager, and we were back on. No big deal.

    Maybe they wanted to see if anyone would notice...

    Honestly, why would you waste your time reapplying in respect to this type of treatment. It simply is not worth it.

    Besides, as I read it, the sentiment here is that you all have not made enough in sales to really make it worth your nickel anyhow....

    It wasn't long ago, that we (Affiliates) could never EVER get a hold of a representative at either one of the merchants or the networks. And when one would drop us from their list, we would scream, and all try to guess why it happened.

    Things have changed. It is much easier to have a conversation with the AM at a merchant these days, and that, frankly is what is needed if you want to continue with your investment in a merchant.

    The AM's that I talk to, all tell me they are being pressured by management to get rid of the Affiliates that don't produce regular sales. They do this as they see non-producing affiliates as an expense. Please don't reply and tell me otherwise, you are preaching to the choir (mostly). I am just saying what I see as a continuing trend.

    Hey, if you want to continue with your investment (if you have one) in a merchant - then give them a call.

    I was dropped, also. I don't want to be reinstated because I figure it is possible a new AM decided to cut out the "dead wood."

    Works both ways, though . . .

    If a merchant drops me, I will not even bother contacting them. That so called trust in partnership to me never existed if they drop affiliates who have had quality traffic or sales in the past. Shouldn't they know it takes time to get traffic and sales. To me if the merchant doesn't convert after 200 targeted clicks I usually will drop them. Don't want to waste my time!

    Someone please send them my affiliate ID and e-mail address. Office Depot has been a big Zero for me over 3 years. I'll take a rejection notice as a badge of courage.

    Hmm I didn't get any notice ... maybe their emails are bounced back. In that case, do they have the rights to remove me since I don't even know

    Regards,
