    Dear Abestweb partners,
    LinkShare Team -

Last year, at about this time, I posted on the board an announcement about our first place ranking in the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Program. Now, I have the privilege of repeating that announcement once again - yes,
LinkShare was just named THE fastest growing company in the in the Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 50 program for the New York area for the second year in a row! Our impressive 26,268% revenue growth from 1998 to 2002 ranked us above everyone else, and we'd like to thank all of you once again for contributing to our success. We are proud to have such an amazing team of individuals to help us build our business... way to go LinkShare, partners and merchants! As you all know LinkShare is like a mutual fund of online retailers and the partners they work with so this growth rate tells you that more affiliates make more money with LinkShare then any other provider out there!!! I am proud to work with you all and pay you all huge commissions.

Here's the press release that we sent out

LinkShare Corporation Named New York's #1 Fastest Growing Technology Company in Deloitte & Touche "Fast 50" Program for Second Consecutive Year

New York, NY September 26, 2003- For the second year in a row, LinkShare Corporation, the leader in performance-based marketing, has been awarded the highest ranking in Deloitte & Touche's prestigious Technology Fast 50 program for the New York area, a list of the top 50 fastest growing technology companies in the region by Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the nations leading professional services firms. LinkShare is the only company in the programs history to have received the highest ranking for 2 consecutive years.

To succeed during prosperous times is one thing; to succeed in adversity is much more challenging, and thats exactly what the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 winners have done, said Larry Wizel, Partner in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications practice of Deloitte & Touche and Chair of the New York Technology Fast 50. We applaud LinkShare for its tremendous accomplishments during economically challenging times and for being one of the elite Fast 50 companies in New York.

LinkShare is the leader in performance-based marketing, providing an online marketplace where businesses can build pay-for-performance relationships that minimize customer acquisition costs, and maximize the revenue-generating potential of their websites. By participating in LinkShare's affiliate marketing networks, online businesses desiring additional sales, registrations, leads, or other activity are able to forge alliances with hundreds of thousands of affiliate sales partners seeking to monetize their traffic. In addition, LinkShare is launching a new suite of services aimed at helping companies manage their affiliate marketing programs more efficiently and increase revenue through targeted search marketing. The 26,268 percent growth and resulting ranking are evidence of how LinkShare's business solutions have successfully delivered value to its customers, even in a challenging market environment.

LinkShare's Chairman and CEO, Stephen Messer, credits vision, discipline, passion, and a company-wide entrepreneurial spirit for the sustained revenue growth. LinkShare pioneered the affiliate marketing industry with its patented tracking technology, launching the industry's premier affiliate marketing network. "We have always adhered to a guiding philosophy of maximizing resources to build a company that can stand on its own. Our continued revenue growth is further distinguished by the fact that we were the first company in our space to become profitable, and we have sustained that profitability year over year," stated Messer. "We are especially proud that our performance-based business model enables our success to translate into the success of our clients' affiliate and search marketing initiatives."

Deloitte & Touche announced the rankings at the awards dinner for the winners on Thursday, September 25, 2003, at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park. Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over five years, from 19982002. LinkShare's increase in revenues of 26,268 percent from 1998 to 2002 resulted in first place ranking overall in the Fast 50 for New York. The average increase in revenues among companies who made the Fast 50 for this region was 1,312 percent.
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1998 and $1,000,000 in 2002, must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and be a "technology company" defined as owning proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues (using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify); and/or devoting a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology.

Winners of the 20 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North Americas top 500 fastest growing technology companies. For more information on the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 or Fast 500 programs, visit www.fast500.com.
This years New York Technology Fast 50 is supported by Platinum Sponsors: Bank of New York, Geller & Company, Marsh Financial Services, NASDAQ, and Proskauer Rose; Gold Sponsors: the Journal News; and Silver Sponsors: Polytechnic University the NYU Center for Advanced Technology.

Link share has never done it for me.

There links are more times than not non functioning, they explain non tracking with OOPS I’m Sorry and so what if you get nothing.

There non-consolidation of accounts is really a ball buster!

My list goes on and on and on...

I must say congrats I hope that while you work towards staying on top, why not work on fixing the boo boos that even CJ pays us something even if its pocket change.

Wish I could share in the celebration and help turn the original announcement into more of a self-congratulatory appearance here, but unfortunately LS has been a very weak performer for me, (almost non-existent), as I have said in the past.

The best way to keep it positive from where I sit is to echo SandraR's sentiments...

I signed up 5 years ago with linkshare and
was doing OK before the parasites came on board.
For months (years)I've been mad at LS and ready to give up. One day I saw Steve Messer answering our questions at ReveNews. It was a tough job. I must say he was able to convince me to stay a little longer in his network.
And, I've seen a lot of progress, one after the other. Took me some time to discover the right merchants to work with.
Now, I'm paid on time. No crazy updates. No tracking problem. And better than anything, no bs. It works for me.

Can this thread be about what the poster intended WITHOUT for once...bringing in other non-related issues - particularly the parasite issue. Is anyone else tire of parasite topics being brought up on EVERY thread? Start your own thread on this topic but don't pollute a decent topic with garble.

    Congratulations.

    -----------

By the way Survey Man, I think people are just jumping on the opportunity to bring up other topics because it is so rare that anyone from the networks is willing to discuss it. There is a lot of pent up demand, and that is how they like it.

I have never really used you mainly due to the consolidated payment issue, which seems like something a network ought to offer. Otherwise, why not just use indys and get paid more? But, congratulations on your success.

Mr.Merchant, if you do business in any way what-so-ever with parasites, your products will not be sold on my sites!!

    Congrats, LinkShare!

I wish I could say that you deserve it, but from my point of view, I must echo what several others have said: you need to consolidate payments, that's what being part of a network is all about.

Do that, and you might make it 3 years in a row...

    Congrats Linkshare

Now, if only you could offer consolidated payments. That would be a HUGE plus for your affiliates

    Congrats Linkshare

I pushed CJ to number one (my earning)
since last year because cj offer 1 check

If LS can do it too,
i don't think LS will stay behind cj
    in my ranking for long.

Not surprized to hear about Linkshare's growth when they have their hand in almost evrey online transaction. They may be looking out for other affiliates when it comes to hijacking links, but what about the merchants? Try typing in a merchant URL with Morpheus, Ebates or ShopAtHomeSelect or the dozen or so other plug-ins and see what happens. Once the merchants realize that this crap is still going on, they'll have to put a stop to this. Obviously, not in Linkshare's interest to let their merchants know that this is still happening. Unbelievable. Are the other networks allowing this too or does the supposed Code of Conduct prohibit this? Seems like the only way this will get noticed is when a CEO goes to his Web site and sees the link change. Affiliate managers don;t care as they make more money - Mike has been syaing this all along - nobody's listening I guess.

Congrats...it is always nice to hear that my work is making someone else successful.

BTW, has anyone checked out the 2003 Forbes 400. The 400 richest Americans had a phenomenal year. Their wealth increased 10%! The net worth of the 400 richest Americans is $985B. I suspect the Forbes 400 will top a trillion in 2004!!!! The American GDP is $10,137. In several states, the wealth of the billionaires exceeds the state's GDP. Makes you wonder what names affiliate marketers will put on the list.
