I have been reading a lot of negative things about certain stores. L.L.Bean, LandsEnd and Dell being 3 of them.

Is there anyone here who has a list of stores that are worth doing business with?

    Thank you for your replies.

I've found the ones that are worth doing business with are the ones that are most closely related to your viewer interests.

Despite the harping on Dell, it's still possible for a small/medium sized website to make good money from them, as long as there is good interest. It doesn't seem hard to average 40-70 cents per click. If you're really looking to maximize $ per click, it's possible to get upwards of closer to $1 per (though doing so may mean sacrificing total revenue). These numbers are taken from a pool of about 50k clicks/month average, which, while not huge, should be statistically significant.

I'm sure there are many other merchants with a bad rap that are the same way.

Thats hard to answer, some do well with merchants others do bad with. I do good with LandsEnd and Dell. Hard to make a list.

Actually, we are looking for stores that fall under the following:

    1. They pay on time.
    2. Their commission pay is fair. None of this 1 percent crap.
    3. They still pay, even after our readers go back to their site, say, 30 days after they first went there.
    4. They answer e-mail within 48 hours.

That would be a great list but it's an almost impossible list that would take a lot of time to make. This is something you need to research. Are you looking for any kind of merchant or a specific kind? Computer merchant, clothing merchant?

We are accepting all merchants. We have reserved a shopping page for such.

On our main pages, we will have click ads. ... For the obvious reasons.

This is why I have posted here. Hopefully someone out there has found the kind of stores that fall under this list. There HAS to be SOME stores who treat their partners like...PARTNERS.

Okay, so it's not exactly a list - just the first one on it Motormint.com - and there are plenty of other great merchants that can be found right here on the board. Certainly a place to start.

Why don't you go thru LS and find all the merchants that meet criterias 2 and 3, then ask here about if they pay on time and have responsive AMs?

After 1 million monthly page views and 200,000 posts a viable merchant who hasn't posted at ABW has nothing to say to their affiliate sales force. Their silence speaks volumes.

    Hi Perry~

We at Relax The Back have been a premimum partner with LinkShare since November, but unfortunately were unable to really get going with it until they hired me. I am working hard to open lines of communication and be a worthy merchant to our affiliates. We would love to have you check us out!

I can now add Kegworks.com / DeluxeGrills.com to that list, also a premier partner... and also but not on Linkshare LeftonMain.com (on Shareasale.com)

All have good returns, good commission, max 48 reply to emails and pay on time

    Cheers

Thanks for the Merchandizer Enabled feed, only problem is we are not Merchandizer enabled.

So far, we have our hands full with the in house datafeeds.

Someday soon we'll look at the Merchandizer program.

    Thanks everyone.

    .

GreatSkin has now announced an increase of their return days from 15 to 21.

    Hope Atterbury: WTG!!

(but, no doubt, there is still room for improvement)
