Some people were more interested in just one or the other. It looks like most want both. Just add the percents from #1 and #3 and/or from #2 and #3 to see the percent that want each option.

    Ref to previous discussion

    2 types of Direct Deposit
    -- indivdual merchant commission dd
-- entire network total commission lump sum dd (consolidated)

I assume option one is refer to the first dd case

    2 types of Consolidated Payment
    - with compulsory advanced commission deposit, no delay payment to affiliate, ensure payment
    - without commission deposit, delay duration unknown, may be short, may be long

People have to aware such differences
in order to make a better choice

If Linkshare could consolidate that would be great as I have a small sum from Dell stuck but get it now if LS consolidated as something else pays me regularly most months.

CJ will do me direct deposit currently to my UK account and whilst it is a bit erratic timing wise is probably safer than cheques(or even checks).

SUrely it would save LS money to consolidate and do direct deposit, although it would probably hit them as regards cash flow.

you know it makes sense .

Consolidated checks wouldn't provide much benefit for me personally. I checked my December commissions and 99.6% of my commissions came from merchants where I earned $25 or more.

Direct Deposit, on the other hand, would be a major advantage. First, it eliminates the time Linkshare spends printing, stuffing, and mailing checks. Second, it eliminates the time that it takes for checks to get here. Third, it eliminates the possibility of lost or misrouted checks. Fourth, it eliminates the time that checks spend sitting in my PO Box--I typically only pick up checks and make deposits 2-3 times per month. Fifth, it reduces my trips to the PO Box and Bank. I figure that on average, my money would be in the bank a couple weeks quicker.

every affiliate is similar to your case.
what special is your case ?

you better mention how many indivdual checks you got monthly on average ?

Do you choose option 1 or option 3 ?

I chose direct deposit, I'd be happy with even just that - but both would be even better!

My biggest problem is worrying that a check hasn't been lost (or sent to the wrong place by Linkshare).

Direct Deposit reduces the need for consolidation for me.... although, if Linkshare conslidated, I figure they would send me a report with the breakdown each month.

Problem for them is, noone seems to pay on time. So how/when exactly would they consolidate?

If someone missed the date by a day, you'd have to wait 29 days for payment.

    Hi everyone,

Consolidated payments is a major project here at LinkShare. Over the past few months we have listened to what it is you have been asking for and have put a lot of effort towards getting you new tools and technologies to make your life easier. We hope to be able to launch this new payment system soon, but at the same time I want to make sure it addresses all your concerns. Hope when it launches you will all be happy.

    Good digging, Mike.

Based on this poll, it looks like Direct Deposit is the most desired feature. Currently, 74% of voters want direct deposit, 68% percent of voters want consolidated payments, and 8% are happy with things the way they are now.

If they did consolidated payments, they would probably need to do at least a weekly payment to minimize the delays.

Direct Deposit is such a no-brainer. It's relatively easy to implement, would be optional for affiliates, and would be a huge time-saver for both Linkshare and affiliates who use it.

But then they'd lose their excuse for hanging onto our money (and making money off the interest) while Lucy & Ethel stuff envelopes for two weeks.

The dates they enter as having received payment from the merchant are interestingly enough delayed also...even more time to play with the float.

So, what has been holding up Steve for 2 years?

Are they looking for a new way to benefit from float on what we're owed?

Same here michael Coley, Consolidated checks we wouldn't matter most of my merchants earn me over $25, I think direct deposit is the most important for me.

freedom, it's not freedom till you build a business model where you can leave and the commissions will still be there. :0).

Merchants! As long as you are partnered with <a href="http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=548608979&f=591608789"target="_blank">parasiteware<a> you will not be listed on my site.
