How many of you use the co-branding feature with your merchants on Linkshare?

So tell us more about it.

I only knew about Overstock's cobrand program, and had the impression that was proprietary; not a Linkshare feature.

Hey Randy, great poll, however I don't do that much branding and I seem to be doing very well.

    Hi All,

I'm one of the folks who voted "don't know what it is."

If anyone would care to give a brief description, I'd appreciate it.

If you mean that little top frame they add that has your own banner on it, it is crap!
I complained to a few merchants that tried that.
The frame takes up about a 3rd of the page, blocking a lot of the merchant site.

I guess the real question is how many of you would benefit from having a link back to your site or your navigation at the top of the page. I think with the big name affiliates they want their customers to purchase of the merchant's site and then come back. Does that explain it a little better?

I agree with Connie. It's totally useless and looks stupid. Basically, it's just a frame. The top frame has a banner for your site. The bottom frame has the merchant's site.

The first time I saw it, I couldn't figure out what it was. Linkshare support couldn't either. It's based on the OfferID in the link. A merchant had sent me a link and I got that useless framed banner blocking 1/3rd of the screen. I finally figured out that it wasn't my usual OfferID. When I changed it, the framed banner went away. I finally noticed the "Cobrand: Yes" and "Cobrand: No" display on the program level display.

    Talk about annoying...
