After downloading the momoneymaker and testing what it truly does we are appalled at the findings.

we maybe late but we certainly will not accept those tactics & it seems like down right theft.

Are there other affiliate like ebates using this kind of software?

Theft is an understatement. These people belong in jail.

And the list pointed to by Guffy lists only the more popular thieves that are known.

..."Are there other affiliate like ebates using this kind of software?"

The reality is your looking at the only cleaned Duper (affiliate posing as a merchant) BHO in the TopMoxie arsenel. eBates is a TopMoxie powered affiliate Duper along with a ton of others using the "incent" and charity front theftware model.

Yeah, take a close look at the "charity" affiliates. Scroll down to the Parasiteware forums for more names to look for.

    Jason,

Thank you for taking the advice and downloading the Ebates MoMoney Maker.

That software is designed by a company called Topmoxie.com.

They have many different sites using this program to steal sales. Here is a partial list.

    Ebates.com
    E2give.com
    Upromise.com
    Schoolcash.com
    Schoolpop.com
    Igive.com
    Mypoints.com
    Care2.com

    Other software thieves.

    Belcaro Group aka Shopathomeselect.com

    180 Solutions

    Huntbar

    When U

    Points Passport

    Gator

This is proabaly not inclusive of all, but the majors..

I might even join up if your cleaning house.

And don't be fooled by the "charity" sites. Most of those sites that state the money goes to charity have high administrative costs (much of which is in salary to themselves) and then give the rest to various charities. If the so-called charity site is on the up-and-up, their books will be open to the public. If they aren't it's a sure sign you want to stay away from them. And those that disclose their financials, no more than 5% of revenue should be going towards salaries. About 2 years ago the Feds cracked down on some of these shams. Unfortunately they weren't internet related at the time.

The Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance and The American Institute of Philanthropy are two good places to determine the true value of charities.

Its better to wake up and smell the coffee then not smell it at all.
just think how much money you paid out to these people when they popped up over your site that people found themselves on a search site and overrode the cookie you placed there.
