We did great with Kenneth Cole when at "the other network" - but conversions are at a stalemate despite changing the landing links (twice in the past 2 weeks) and sending plenty of traffic. What's going on? Anyone else seeing these convert?

    Thx!

I agree, conversions were good before, now they stink. Something sure seems amiss. I'll end up having to remove them if this keeps up.

Ditto Hate to have to do it, but last I checked we weren't working for free.

I'm so glad someone posted this. I was just complaining the other day to my business partner that Kenneth Cole is terrible conversion rate now. Something indeed seems up with the reporting

Methinks I smell seasonality. I've had conversions in the 'other network,' too, but the rate fluctuates greatly over time. Are you comparing year over year or today vs.....?

We usually average 1 sale for every 20-25 click thrus. But over 100 click thrus this month, and no sales.

I'm starting to wonder, and if anyone can answer this it'd be great. What happens to the cookie when an affiliate makes a network switch?

This seems to be a common occurrence when a merchant goes from one network to the other, where conversions are next to nil for 30 or so days, and then start kicking in.

If we sent a new Kenneth Cole customer on 2/28 thru the old network, and then that same customer makes a purchase 4 days later after they've switched networks -- do we lose that customer if there's a 30 return day policy?

    Thanks for any help!

    Liz,

I'm sure you do lose the customer/cookie after the networks switch. Cookies aren't transeferable. Once a program is shut down, you're out of luck. It's similar to lifetime guarantees on products, which are only good as long as the company that made the product remains in business.

For Kenneth Cole (and many other B&M apparel retailers), I tend to focus promotion during their friends & family sales when conversions go through the roof.
