Please see to it that expired links are removed for the Create Links Section. It is very frustrating spending time seraching for links only to see that they are expired when they are tested. I tried to add links last night and 7 out of 7 were expired.

Please PM me and I'll give the names.

    Thanks,
    Doug

I think you should be directing this complaint to the merchant in question. They are responsible for updating their own links.

I spent HOURS the other day removing "Easter Sales" and substituting "Mother's Day sales" only to find that the most current promotions offered by some merchants WERE the expired promotions.

I emailed a few AMs - got the usual response - which is no response.

Expired links are a systemic problem, not just a problem with the merchant. That means that the solultion to the problem needs to be built into the Linkshare structure. Of course, it also means there is a not a quick answer from Linkshare and it is unlikely the issue will be addressed in the near future.

    Hi All,

I just signed up with two different merchants and all they have is expired links... Is this happening to anyone else?

I emailed the merchants and told them about it and am waiting for a reply.

I'm new to Linkshare and so far I haven't been impressed. My main problem is that product links (and in some cases banner links) are hopelessly outdated for almost every merchant I've signed up with. I've pretty much given up making product links on Linkshare.

My second problem is that sales aren't credited at the time the transaction takes place, but sometimes days after the products have been shipped.

I've wondered why Linkshare merchants are so neglectful of keeping their links updated when I've rarely seen this problem on CJ. I think (I'm not certain) that CJ charges the merchants for links which would encourage them to keep their links current. If anyone has any info about how CJ and Linkshare handle links I'd love to hear about it.

I have one linkshare merchant that sells a real easy product: personalized address labels.

Here's how long it takes to register as a sale and get paid:

4-6 weeks (They use a drop shipper and that's how long they say it takes)

another 30 days: for drop shipper to notify merchant product has shipped

another 2 weeks: a girl at merchant must manually enter each sale and notify linkshare

another 30 days: to show up on my payment report

another 30 days: merchant is always a month behind in paying linkshare

all totaled - about a half a year to get paid on a mailing label sale!!!!

Well I just rechecked one of the merchants that I joined up with and the links now work so I guess someone is doing some work... Thanks.

    Hi All -

If you encounter outdated links in a merchant's Create Links area, I recommend contacting the merchant directly to encourage them to update their creative offerings. Additionally, you can send me information at abw@linkshare.com and I'll be happy to have my team members work with the merchant to get the creative updated.

    Hi Sarah,

I never did receive a reply, but the links are working so I guess someone is listening.

Thanks for the Help and Love You,
