If you are a member of The LinkShare Network, you only need to read and agree to this Agreement. If you are not a member of The LinkShare Network, you must complete a registration form to join The LinkShare Network and then read and agree to this Agreement. We will evaluate your registration form and notify you if your Site is not accepted for participation in the Program. We may reject your application after initial approval if we determine (in our sole discretion) that your Site is unsuitable for the Program. Unsuitable sites include, but are not limited to, those that:

"* Promote illegal activities or otherwise violate any applicable laws, including those targeting "spyware," "adware," or SPAM"

There's more. Does that mean they will be dropping any adware associations?

That just means that any spyware, adware, or spam that is found illegal will be dropped.

I doubt any of the big spyware / adware will be illegal.

Most AMs believe the networks that all their adware affiliates are good citizens (I had one from a major apparel retailer just recently told me confidently that ALL his affiliates are CoC compliant). And Linkshare is apparently endorsing 180solutions.

So, as long as Linkshare and the government don't expressly prohibit a specific type of commission stealing, folks are allowed to steal commissions in that manner?

We've moved from Linkshare not caring about the spyware to endorsing it (at least the ones that make Linkshare money)?
