Is it just me or did LinkShare suddenly change all spaces in their link code to the code for space. It's rather bothersome because now I have to go and replace the code with spaces if I don't want any link of any length to be one long line instead of wrapping.

    Did anyone else notice this?

    Hi Ron,

I noticed it too, and sent an email to the technical department a couple of days ago. Hope it helps!

    Ron,

What link code are you referring to? Code to linkshare or merchant code?

It is in the links to merchant code.

Strange thing I noticed though, it isn't in all merchants code. I have a couple that don't have it showing up in the link text.

So far it is with all that I worked on the last few days. It sure is a PITA to search and replace each link. Hope they fix it soon.

It is a real pain to use. I just copy the URL and later block and copy the example text since it is identical so I don't have to remove all the hard spaces.

If the hard spaces are left in would it reduce search engine keyword density on our site for the phrases in the text string? Do you think this is being done by LS to protect the merchants from our sites being optimized for search using their preferred phrases? Not trying to be cynical here but I couldn't think of a good reason for it.
