1:30 in the afternoon, I finally get into LS reporting and find something I've never seen before. Under the SubID for one of my LS magazines sites are three sales for Sierra Trading Post. I have no links at STP for the magazine merchant and no links for the magazine mechant at my STP sites.

Now, I'm going to go check all my PHP scripts, but I've never seen this happen before now.

I've spent the good part of this weekend searching, testing and checking my domains to see what could have caused this and can find no reason why Linkshare is screwing up my reports.

Is anyone else out there using SubID's seeing any cross reporting of their sales like I mentioned in my first post? I fear that if this indeed a LS problem, who's to say any of the reporting that is coming through is correct.

I have been wondering about LS reporting recently .. .. In October I had 40 sales for one of my most popular products .. In November for roughly the same number of visits logged I had only 4 sales of the product. ? ?

I have e-mailed them, but in their responses it was as though I was the ONLY one experiencing any problems.

As is their normal response. The way I figure it, if I am not getting a lot of non-com sales, then the reports are messed up!

    Just an update...

Evidently there was no flaw in the reporting at LS and the subid number I had on my script sites was tracking and reporting. It seems I had the wrong subid number on my site because when I went looking for them under YOUR ACCOUNTS, Sub Domains, the listing that shows the firt "1-7" subdmains is not accurate. It seems the first one listed is really subid=3, the second one listed is really subid=4, and so on.

I've suggested to LS that they do a better job of listing the subdomains numbers for each one we have there. I've got over 20 domains and now wonder how badily I've screwed up my numbers on each site. It means my sales statistics are wrong for who knows how long back.
