Happiness = direct deposit & consolidated payments.

For 2005, I wish Linkshare a new year of kept promises.

To me, a Happy New Year from Linkshare would be a CEO who was honest with his affiliates and didn't allow cookie stuffers, parasites and all the other miscreants into his network that do nothing more than line his own pocket and steal from other affiliates.

A Harvard law student and Ph.D. candidate, Ben Edelman, has done a tremendous amount of work, absolutely free, to illustrate what you are doing, Stephen. Why don't you trust his work and ACT UPON IT?

Yes, it would be good to see the new year bring out a new Linkshare. One that's focused on the needs of the affiliates rather than the glorification of their president. One that's focused on rapidly developing features that have been promised for years. One that's dedicated to honesty and integrity rather than just saying what people want to hear.

It's a shame that a man cannot come to this board and offer his holiday wishes to everyone without people complaining about something.

    Upcoming replies:
    "It's a shame we can't get this..."
    "It's a shame we can't get that..."

Let's let at least one thread retain the positive vibe in which is was created.

If Charles Manson wishes me a Happy New Year, do I take it as the happy little comment from a man some might call "Chuck"? I don't care if Stephen Messer calls me on my birthday to tell me he loves me, that doesn't get me paid. Well wishes mean nothing from someone who doesn't give a rat's behind about me.

    Bravo, AAnnAArchy!

Mack Buckets, you might want to re-consider being critical of long time users in your very first post. We know what we are talking about and Messer deserves every comment posted here. He's a grandstander and well wishes don't mean crap from someone whose history speaks volumes. He couldn't give a damn about the average affiliate who follows the rules because they don't make much money for him.

Sure, it's a shame. I'll be more than happy to accept his holiday greetings and wish him the same but I know like many others here that there is no sincerity behind these wishes.
By the way, welcome at ABW, you have plenty of reading to understand why LS affiliates are so frustrated.

Remind me of something long time ago.

"Hi I hope you had a great day"
    "why? thank you!"
    "You are welcome"
"Now you are about to have a bad day!"
    "Stick em up!"

Well I will wish Linkshare and Stephen a Happy New Year. It will be nice to see some changes in 2005 forced upon this industry by real laws with teeth. Then I'm sure Stephen will be forced to blow away some of the smoke and mirrors and work on getting some income flowing back to the legit domain bound affiliates he can trust to add-value to the process.

Come on now really people, how long has it been since they have made any positive changes? They are probably just shopping Linkshare around to the highest bidder and trying to make a quick buck off people like they are used too. Hell, they can't even pop in and tell us tracking is not affected anymore.
