Was just checking the Deactivated Advertisers Reports and under status i see:

    Advertiser Expired
    Active
    Declined Application
    Pending Application

Whats the difference between these statuses?
It looks like advertiser expired are those who left to another network. Cant see how you can have a status of active in a deactivated advertiser list unless i was declined, but then that should be declined application.

    Trust,

Status is referring to the status of your relationship with the advertiser.

Advertiser Expired means that the Advertiser removed you from their program.

Some advertisers * reawaken * and your relationship continues as before. In other words when CJ temporarily deactivates an advertiser, all publisher are NOT automatically expired.

    Next question please

So a merchant with an Active Status under deactivated merchants means?? that they deactivated and are now back? Some other stuff i see golfgods under invalid links generating traffic with "no relationship" next to them but don't see them under the deactivated advertisers. So San Francisco Music Box showing with the status of Active under Deactivated Merchants means they are active again?

Yes i agree, just going through these reports, what a mess. I see a merchant that is showing under invalid links generating traffic and i can't see them anywhere.

There's something I noticed after CJ6, if an advertiser is deactivated, your links still drive traffic to their web site.
You're not going to be paid, for sure, but the merchant is going to benefit from your traffic, Thanks CJ.
I've not heard anything on that at ABW.

I think everybody should take a good look at the reports, check deactivated merchants, invalid links generating traffic etc. What the hell does active mean in a Deactivated Advertiser report mean. Does it mean reactivated? Is golfgods, SFmusicbox deactivated? i see sfmusicbox showing, but not golf gods. The more i look, the more screwy the reports are.

Trust, if you still have golfgods on your sites you're giving them free traffic.
I had this bad experience myself and once again it was due to this "last update".
Where the screen CJ used to have to block the merchants from getting free traffic when "deactivated"?

I just removed them, it was a page i thought i had deleted awhile back, but recently was getting some traffic. I don't see them in the deactiver merchant list, were they deactivated recently or a long time ago? My reports go back to April, so maybe they deactivated before them. Before i removed them, i checked the cj links to golfgods and they work, while other merchants that get deactived. you get the CJ expired notice. Why is that?

I had golfgods as "expired" and now they are showing as "No Relationship".
If I click on the advertiser/status I'm going to their merchant window and I can reapply to their program. You can't imagine something as sc@wy as that.
There's so many people here who are thinking there's nothing better than a good update from CJ.

Thanks Zeus, what a pain. Akiva where are you, what does Active status mean in a Deactivated Advertiser report?? Reactivated?

Sorry Trust.. I was actually getting some work done

A status of Active means that your relationship with the merchant is "Active" but the merchant is not Active in the CJ network.

What? you mean my cookie is still active? I don't see how i can be Active with a Deactivated merchant that in no longer with CJ, unless you're referring to the cookie still being active.

If you are seeing a status of "Active" for a merchant on a Deactivated advertisers report, it means that you are technically still "joined" with their program even though it has been deactivated. So if the merchant were to be reactivated, you would not have to reapply to their program since you are already joined (Active). Its CJ lingo.
