Well, that was nice of em. Thank you, CJ, even if I didn't earn that much in June, I appreciate the response.

Well, thanks for the $3.94, CJ. It's nice to hear that you can admit that tracking was, in fact, affected. Or at least reporting was.

Is it fair (in my case)? Maybe, maybe not. I had an absolutely horrible month--hence the $3.94 bonus. But the second half of the month was considerably better than the first half, thanks to the launch of a new site. I can't prove that they lost any transactions, and they can't prove that they didn't. If they lost one (or more), my lost commissions could be more than my "bonus". On the other hand, maybe my bonus is simply a gift for work I didn't do.

Regardless, I'd like to thank CJ for coming clean on this issue. And a big "thank you" goes out to Akiva for making things happen. Thanks a lot. Off I go to build more sites--gotta get ready for Christmas.

payouts. Your 2 percent credit for account number
0321321 will total $ 22834.37 USD and doubles
estimated unreported transactions to your account.

    Hmm...

Hoepfully no more txns will be lost in the future. I'd rather just have the accurate amounts to begin with.

But, in this case, Thanks, CJ for doing the right thing.

Well at least it is being fixed, though 2% off commissions is small. It should be larger OR it should be based off of gross sales and an average commission for each affiate for June...

I appreciate my 2%, but am I the only one who sees a problem with this? One, what if our lost commissions were some of those few really big ones we all get each month?

Frankly CJ, you can keep my 2%. I'd rather have the actual amount due me and the knowledge that your tracking systems are secure and trustworthy.

Although two weeks late in notifying use, your attempt to appease us seems to have worked with many here. I, for one, am troubled to learn that tracking was actually affected. It leads me to wonder if during the many other upgrades when sales went missing that something similar did not happen, but was never obvious enough for CJ to report it? We will never know, but I bet we will all be a little more observant during future upgrades. Even though this was reported as not a part of the last upgrade, it is too much of a coincidence that sales have been less than normal during other upgrades.

But at the very least, thanks for coming clean about this and attempting to make it right. I'll give you credit for that.

    Ron,

This issue was NOT related to the upgrade. I worked extensively with Todd and CJ techs to pinpoint the timeframe and it included June 30th - after the upgrade was completed. Initially we were working on getting the non-reported transactions added to the member reporting table and the disappearing transactions you saw last week were an attempt to restore them. After many man hours and a huge data-mining expense on CJ's dime, it was determined that it would be extremely difficult and costly to find all non-reported transactions. After an investigation, it was determined that the percent of transactions between June 25 and June 30 that did not make it to the main transaction database, were minimal and CJ would instead compensate the entire network 2% for ALL earnings in June. I agree that you should have your original transactions, but in this case it is not viable. I am consantly monitoring CJ reporting (as you know ) and since this incident I have not seen one lost transaction.

Um....I think there is more information here to be presented by CJ to affiliates (publishers).

If all this occured at the end of last month and you caught it on July 1, then why on July 7th did so many of us see transactions appear in our accounts, then disappear within 24 hours? That was the issue that prompted so many of us question what was going on.

What was that all about and why was it not addressed in your email to us?

Edited for clarification - I was typing this at the same time as Akiva. Still, CJ should have addressed this in their email to us.

    Akiva,

Thanks for the explaination, but should not CJ be here speaking for themselves, not you. I tried once to get them to appoint an affiliate advocate to speak for them here and was told that it would be inapropriate for anyone that is not an employee of CJ to be speaking for them.

No offence to you and your kind efforts, I just think CJ should be here addressing this.
