Just realized that September will be my two year anniversary for my first CJ check. It was a grand total of $27.00 back then and took three months before it reached the minimum so I could get paid.

All this from a web site I only developed because I was trying to sell it. Now I have about 20 sites making money at CJ, as well as many others outside of CJ making money. Boy, I certainly am glad I did not sell that web site!!!

For those newbies out there wondering if you will ever make any real money or even get your first check, hang in there. Patience is the real key, while you work your sites. Pages, pages and more pages...keep at it every week.

Yeah, the first check is great, mine was from CJ too. I was hooked after seeing they actually pay you to do this

    Congrats Ron

I was just looking back at some of the checks that had me jumping for joy when they came $26.18 is the lowest to show up but I'm sure there were many lower than this when I first started

Thanks for posting this information Ron - it is very encouraging for others who are where you were two years ago. Persistence pays off.

    Congratulations!

Congratulations Ron! However, statistically, this means nothing. Any scheme out there can claim winners at any time. The important thing is something that we will never know: WHAT PERCENTAGE of the CJ affiliates makes any money to speak of?

    Good luck with your endeavours.

    Congrats Ron!

It's been 2 1/2 years for me. My first CJ check was about $30. When I started I was a stay at home Mom. Now I do well enough that I haven't had to get a day job even though I'm single.

In addition to what Ron said; the most important thing I have done is build loyalty among my visitors. I don't link to offers that I know could generate money for me because I feel the offer is misleading, or because the site (supposedly) spams people. My regulars are faithful and they trust me. They know if they click a link on my site they wont end up on a misleading offer, spam or get a bunch of pop ups. (unlike many other sites similar to mine)

Word of mouth is my best advertising. The name of my site is the #1 search term bringing people in. Someone even wrote into a major magazine about my site and the letter was printed, bringing in tens of thousands of visitors. I get "fan mail" every week; which helps keep me going in the slow times.

If you're new...don't give up! Once things start to happen it snowballs.

It's amazing how far we come in our thinking and expectations. My first check after three months was $27.00. These days I'm dissapointed if I don't make that much in a day. LOL

Just what will be my expectations in another two years, I wonder?

Only valid when compared to the percentage of affiliates who don't bother to do any of the work..
