Do you have to file a license with your state if you make money from CJ? Like 10k a month? Also, if you make 10k a month and soleprorpitership, do you have to do quarterly taxes or is annual fine

Visit - look - read and if you can take the time to understand building websites than you can take enough time to understand your taxes.

If you want to stay ignorant than hire an accountant like the rest of us!

    #1 helpful hint for you:
Never ask for tax advice on a message board.
Check with the IRS or ask an accountant for information that fits your situation.

Your uncle sam is greedy and wants his money up front. However if you didn't owe money last year he may let you slide on paying in advance this year.

That works for me, taxes give me a headache.

Or you could move to Dubai, 0% company tax, 0% income tax, 360 days sunshine...

There is no requirement to get a license with any state just because you make money as an affiliate with CJ. You are not selling any products and I assume you have no employees.

If you are a sole proprietorship you should make quarterly estimated taxes to both the IRS and the state in which you live.

If you just pay annually, you could be subject to underpayment of estimated tax penalties.

The key to running an efficient business from a tax standpoint is to keep good records and to find a good accountant if you do not have an understanding on how taxes work.

    Good luck!

I was just wondering how this is your first year (?) and you're making 10k a month.

Anyway, Connie is right. Don't ask tax questions on a message board.

The answers are always to too easy. Hire a tax guy. You can afford it.

I've seen plenty of accountants make mistakes. I doubt message board advice could be much worse than some of the things I've seen accountants do.
