Hi, when I run a report for yesterday I got very different figures of the website performance when I sorted it after clicks than when I run the overall view of it. I took a screenshot of it. The difference is tremendous and it does not correspond to all other possible reports. I am afraid that those figures are the real figures and they were shown me accidentially. Should I contac the merchants to verify sales and leads?

What could this be? When I double checked the stats right now, they show the corresponding results sorted or unsorted.

The networks are paid a percentage of the moneys paid to affiiates. They earn more money if the affiliates earn more money. There is no incentive for them to hide sales from affiliates.

But of course, mistakes happen and its good to be vigiliant.

The report I took a screenshot of has all my merchants listed, appeared with my account nr. an so on.It was definitively a report on my website performance. The figures of the todays report were very different from all reports I doublechecked ( monthly, quaterly or by year ). And I experienced that not for the first time. What could this be?

    Excellent point.

Carneol, have you tried contacting CJ with the screenshots? Is it all one merchant, or all of your merchants?

It was for all my merchants not only for a single one. It shows me revenue for merchants I did not have ( revenue ) in my regular stats, and it shows revenue for merchants which is totally different ( much higher ) from what I see normally. It also shows clicks and impressions which are so high, that they correspond with my private stats. The normally shown number of clicks is not corresponding. No I have not contacted cj.com because I know their anser already: We are your trusted third party blah blah...... What I wanted to know is, if anybody here on this board experienced that too.

I too have been curious if anyone else had this happen to them, figured I might see it show up on this forum soon and sure enough!!!

I checked my sitemeter referrals for August 5 and found search result hits for every product/merchant that showed sales with the $393.22 day totals. Must just be Coincidence!

I'm sure this is some sort of a technical malfunction so didn't feel the need to contact cj since I also felt that that is exactly what I would be told anyway. The real question is which set of numbers is accurate? Again I feel sure that cj would explain that the number they're paying for is the true and accurate set of numbers or else they would not have adjusted it.

It happened again, and I had total commissions $743.42 in this report, but after that when it turned back I had $0 commissions. Screenshots taken. I am afraid that there is a double tracking.

I have had this happen too - I posted on this board and it didn't even raise an eyebrow - I was too dumb to take a screenshot, I downloaded a copy though.... I guess that can be changed so I doubt anyone official would believe me. I think it's really dodgy to see so many more clicks and extra sales and then have them disappear totally.

Hmmmm.....I am not sure I follow this. Are you saying you stumbled into something that looks like CJ is cooking the books?

CJ makes money when we do? Uh huh....but what if, now I am just saying...what if... someone, under the table, paid them to...uh, under pay us...you know, split the difference....

I am not saying that happens, but it could be tempting, no? How would we ever know?

If they will give our commissions to parasites and think that is dandy, if they will glorify parasitic affiliates on their front page and think that is dandy, if they will give acolades to parasites whose entire business model is to usurp other affiliates commisions who knows where their values lie? They sure don't appear to lie with seeing that normal affiliates earn money, do they?

Who watches the trusted third party? There should be some kind of an independant auditor. That might set suspicions to rest.

There is a whole lot of money involved here. People of low character and skewed values would eventually find it all very tempting. Don't you think so? I'm just asking. Of course, I am sure no one at CJ has low character or skewed values, right?

Anyway, how could they get by with such a thing? There MUST be too many eyes for them to pull shinanigans. Someone would surely know. Eventually, there would be a whistle blower. Don't you think so?

As I posted some weeks ago: I have the feeling that someone says: let him have a revenue of $xxx. There is nothing what I could do to rise up my income. It always differs between some $$. No matter if my sites are ranked in google or yahoo or not, or if I have only 100 uniques or even 600.
I suspect noone, especially not cj.com. But imaginable is that s.o. there has also an account and sends comm. there. Or also imaginable is that what Ssanf says. Yes there is a lot of money in there, and if the revenue that was shown is correct, a big lot of money is in there. Who experiences that too, and should we file a complaint? To whome?

Could it be that in the tracking cookie which counts the sale my cookie is contented and the software usually tracks it as my sales, but by personal review the cookie content of the parasite is set as receiver of the revenue? Perhaps we have here a first clue of what happens with our commision concerning the parasites?

    Hi
Would you please take a look at my account. I noticed yesterday the balance amount dropped. I am not exactly sure of the amount but it was over $50.00 I am sure of this.

I've checked right back to May in my transaction reports to see if any new reversals have been made and there is none.

I look forward to your reply

I am going nuts after reading this threads. I am having my worst month with CJ after I seriously started affiliate marketing with traffic better than ever. My sales are less than 1/2 of last month and 1/4 of the months before. This started happening since the middle of last month. I have no clue, why with all these users, I am having this terrible time.

CJ acknowledged somewhere that during the foundation server upgrade, sales were posted to wrong affiliates. I am thinking something like that is happening again. And this is going on for several weeks now. Either they cannot figure out and fix it, or something else.

This has been going on for two years and not just during the foundation server upgrade.

For your information the "wrong affiliates" as it was written, are the parasites, someone somewhere in CJ must have thought they had exceeded their diversion/stealing allowance and decided to give us some back but don't expect this to happen again as the like of ebates and whenu will be a bit peeved by this happening and you can bet your bottom dollar some guys from CJ will be having a paid for lunch to ensure this does not happen again. After all with all the money they have already stolen from us they can afford to bribe the networks to enable them to steal even more.

    Ok, this ain't good!

I'll ask the Network Quality team for input since I know Todd is out of the office. In the meantime, I highly suggest (to all) to run the reports, take screenshots and use the AAQ on CJ.

    Hello All,

I have been writing back and forth concerning the reporting problems and the loss of over $500 with no results.

What if we all get together and with the help of HAIKO, request a CHAT gathering with Todd and his reporting staff?

Haiko do you think this a viable solution?

Spoke with CJ ... only one report has been filed with them (Gordon's), what they need is for all that have this issue to use the Ask a Question feature and submit all pertinent information along with screenshots.

There are many reports and depending on how they are run and compared, it could lead someone to think that there is a discrepancy.

If the AAQ doesn't resolve the issue please, in confidence, forward your information and I promise I'll follow up with them on a case by case basis.

Ok someone is smoking crack at CJ... I have been sending stuff through the ASK Questions option.

Writing back and forth with Mike Harnish.

Since my complaint is not annotated, I called CJ at 1-805-560-0777..

If I have to formalize things to be heard so be it.

Hate it when you have to get ugly to make things happen.

By the way, my complaints started on August 13 . The ask questions is not working, not only was the first reply a canned reply, but its now 6 days later and I am still farting around with this issue.

Any issue concerning tracking or payment have no results utilizing the ASK question option. You need to CALL and grab an ear, possibly be a major Butt Head.

Not sure about being a butthead yet, but I will call again tomorrow and let you know what kind of Butthead is required to get some answers.

One of my posts was deleted by ABW because it was concerned to the private forum. This is ok, but now it is impossible to discuss that very important issue, because the private parasite forum is closed. I definitively will not send my screenshots to cj.com before I investigated that issue as deep as I can.
