It'll probably extend into sept 11th. Just think of it as CJs memorial downtime for the towers down time.

Personally, if they need downtime now, ok do it. Get what ever you need now, but after October 15 until about January 5th. The prime gift buying season, don't schedual any downtimes, at any time for any reason. Things can be fixed/updated in the new year slow down.

    CJ calls it:

I call it a pain in the butt. Oh, duh, guess they mean the same thing, right?

Wonder if the spider will go down during that time also?

It seems they usually only do this on weekends.
MAYBE the fact that this upgrade is midweek is a GOOD thing. Maybe it's something really important that could not wait til Friday.

Yes, I am wearing my rose colored glasses and hopelessly optimistic!
(Big Top, don't attack me for this comment again!)

I don't believe CJ does anything on purpose that will negatively impact their sales channel - they are in business to make money, just like all of you! You can't fault me for HOPING for the best and assuming this upgrade will improve things for all!

System downtime, midweek - during happy hour. One must wonder what the real reason is.

Maybe they have a vast number of reversals to process, or when they say "backend upgrades" does that mean that we're all going to get it up the a...

    Linda,

With all this things happening, we do need someone that is optimistic!

What you are doing is great and it does make sense, I understand it 100% and I'm with you hoping for the best and maybe a miracle but still hoping.

Keep wearing your rose colored glasses!

Between you Haiko, BLFH and others that is trying all the best to get to the bottom of this once and for all should be phrase and not attack!

If the other side is not guilty we will find out, but at the mean time I would like to say that contacting the merchants and let them know the issue is a great idea.

Especially the merchants that you make money with!

    Just my two cents.

If 10 of us kick in $100 apiece we could invite Jack K. to a poolside party at a nice hotel, until, say, 5:00 PM or so

Maybe by doing this midweek they can have the staff on hand to fix all the many problems/bugs that occur when they do this on weekends with so little staff.

I'm anxious to see if this midweek thing does better than the weekend ones.

Hey, maybe they are removing the CJ spider.

Wait, maybe they are feeding the spider and making it bigger and stronger!!!

They can't have downtime today. It's reversal day!!! One will end up cancelling out the other.

From the looks of my sales, $0 so far today, and this is probably a first time in two years to go this far into the day without a sale, I'd say they might have already shut off sales reporting.

Or perhaps parasites and ad blockers have effectively turned CJ into non-affiliate network.

Something is broken, and has been broken. Unfortuntely, I can't tell what, but I smell a bad sales day or two whenever CJ has an update.

    Whiznot,

It is facinating to me how sales drop of badly on the day of CJ upgrades before it even happens. It's like the programers start tinkering with things before the official shut down. I wish I had kept a record of this each time it has happened. I think statisically it would be very relevant.

And since rarely does an upgrade go smoothly, we have post upgrade problems to possibly look forward to today as well as reversals.

I thought the scheduled down time was 5:00PM PST

Predictable, really I suppose. It was an act of purest optomism to have posed the question in the first place. (John Cleese: Cheese Shop)

I was having a great day so I guess they'd better fix it before they run out of money.
