I've found it can take about 1 month sometimes up to 3 when you submit to google.

On the other hand I can if you can get linked with a site that already gets crawled you'll be in on the next index. He crawls pretty soon if not already doing so now.

javaguy,

Google has danced! (couldn't return the PM because you don't have PM turned on ... go to http://www.abestweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/...dit_my_profile and change your PM settings)

Me, a programmer I can understand and do CGI.

PS. In the next abw update (I'll try to put PM notification on the main page)

Give us the url for your new site, it might give us an idea why it's not listed.

I have all my sites crossed linked and my new sites typically always get in within 1 month.

Hi-

Your site is not being banned from Google. We understand that your site
has not shown up in our search results despite the fact that you have
submitted your URL to us. We'd like to explain why this may have happened
and what it means.

Google finds sites through a process known as "crawling" the web. This
involves robot software that follows hyperlinks from site to site. Google
currently looks at more than one billion URL's during the crawl. The
process may take several weeks to complete.

If you submit your URL to Google, we will try to include you in our next
crawl. If you have already done so, your site could easily appear in our
new index, which will go up when the current crawl is completed. However,
if no other site links to yours, it may be difficult for our crawler to
find you. Conversely, if many sites link to your page, there is a good
chance we will find you without your submitting your URL.

Sometimes websites are not reachable when we tried to crawl them. We'll
try multiple times, but if the site is not reachable, that can also cause
it not to be listed in our current index. If that was a transient problem,
the site will likely show up in the next index which will be completed in
the next few weeks.

We realize this may be frustrating to you if your site is relatively new
and you are hoping to bring it to the attention of others so they will
link to you. However, Google does not manipulate search results by hand or
accept payment to change results ordering. We believe strongly in allowing
the "democracy of the web" to determine the position of sites in our
search results.

We hope that this explanation has made it clearer how we arrive at our
results. If you'd like more in-depth information on Google's search
technology, please check out our web site at http://www.google.com/technology/index.html .

Thanks for writing to us,
The Google Team
