Since the last index, my site rating
dropped to 0 on ALL Pages! Does this
mean Google banned me? The pages
are still indexed -- I can call them
up on the search with unique wording from
    my pages.

What is curious is None of my
Back Links are listed! Neither my own
links within the site nor outside
links from other websites (Before last
index google showed 32 links--not nearly
as many as there really are).

Does anyone know what could have
    happened? I checked all the
    "don'ts" and I'm not "doing"
any "don'ts" as far as I can tell
-- I do have links to pages within
my site and to my other sites,
yet so do most other webmasters! (I
had read somewhere that google may
    consider this "inflating" link

Also, could someone give me a
    Google support email address to
query the Google Masters about my
rating -- or better yet, a phone #?
I'm going to wait until the next
index and see if anything changes.
If not, then I want to find what
    the **ll is going on!

Sounds like a glitch in the Google Toolbar...

If you're looking directly at Google's site then ???

Oh yeah...when you can call up the pages you're not technically "banned".

    You might find this helpful.

But I could not find a phone number although I know there is one. Call 1-800-555-1212 and ask for the google number - they might have it.

I doubt if they banned your sites if there are still some urls listed. Did you change anything about your sites prior to them being dropped from google?

I know one time my host was down and I lost all my google listing because of it. I am still trying to regain the good positions I had prior to that lose. Maybe this update will be better for both of us.

    Hi Leader,

    I don't think it's a glitch in the
toolbar -- cause it does the same thing
    when I use google directly.

I just don't know why they aren't showing
    my backward links.

    Hi JadaKiss,

Thank you for the link to the
    google/webmaster page. I will
    write to if things
don't clear up with the next indexing.

I did make some changes to many of
the pages -- added crosslinks. That's
    it--no major re-design, etc.

Right now I am changing the crosslinks
so they are not exactly the same on
all pages, taking my name off of all
the pages, adding the coding to stop
    scumware and rearranging some
<h> tags. I'm hoping with the changes
google will re-index the whole site,
because it will show it's been edited.

I realize these changes might really
throw my google rating off -- but it
    certainly can't get any worse!

I use a service that let's me know if
my site goes down and it's been up
100% -- or so it reports.

    Thanks for your help!

There has been much talk about similar Google glitches in some of the other webmaster forums I visit. The same things have been happening to others, for no reason that anyone can discern. I think we can be pretty sure it's an indexing hiccup of some sort, not something aimed at any webmaster in particular. That doesn't make it any less frustrating if you're one whose rankings tanked, though!

I think you're doing the right thing if you're "tweaking and tuning". Also work on building external link popularity, don't just depend on cross-linking within your site. Work you're doing now will be picked up in the next round of spidering, and affect the results around the end of January or early February.

I found this answer as to why backward links may not show up on Google itself on THIS PAGE.

It's near the bottom of the page, hidden in the part about maintaining rank if you change your URL. Even though you didn't change your URL, I think this (especially the part in parentheses) would still apply:

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>You may not find every page that links to you with this method, but it should help you begin redirecting the links leading to your site. (Please note: we do not serve link queries for all of the sites in our index, so this may not produce any results for your site.)<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Which also explains why it steadfastly refuses to show any links to my sites most of the time!

    Thanks Leader,

That does ease my mind because I thought
maybe the crosslinking was killing my
    rating (although it shouldn't).

And, I went ahead and wrote
(thanks javaGuy for update on how long they take to respond!) because while checking to
see if I'm still indexed at all, I found
2 websites that had STOLEN my Exact
words in my first headline on several
    different pages.

They took my words, used some kind of
    cloaking device, and redirect to
another domain that has Nothing to
    do with the search keywords!

    I wrote and reported
them and asked if this could be
    affecting my rating.

At the very least they should kick
these SCUM off Google for using
    Cloaking and Redirection!
