Even my news sites that got in show 0 links crossed. Do you think this thing will get fixed in the next month or should we uncross all our sites. I don't think that would be a good idea. Any suggestions.

Also this is what google has under it's FAQ how to get good rankings:

Google finds most of its pages when our robots crawl the web and jump from page to page via hyperlinks. The best way to ensure listing on Google is for a page to be linked from lots of other pages. Google's order of results is automatically determined by several factors, including our patented PageRank algorithm.

So if it changed - why didn't they update this.

I don't think it's got anything to do with cross-linking. We have 25 sites, all cross-linked. One got axed last month and it is still gone this month, but the rest are still where they used to be. I thought they'd be gone, too, after this update, but it didn't happen.

Hershey I don't think so either. But I just shot Google over an email asking them to help rectify the situation.

Ha ha, that's why I usually make extensive posts!! Every time I don't, I'm only asked for clarification anyway!!

quote:
Do you think this thing will get fixed in the next month or should we uncross all our sites. I don't think that would be a good idea.~Jada

My response was to the part I put in bold.

    "I wouldn't change it..."

Meaning: I'd leave them linked. I agree with the rest of Jada's statements in the quote, too.

(This is still a short post but some physical-world things are infringing on my time right now...)
